We are honored to have our investor Tomás Rauch participate in Cohort 11 of VC unlocked: Silicon Valley 2024 at Stanford University. As part of our investment process, we look to develop investment theses that can expand our horizons, resulting in us seeking out startups to support. After delving into their technology and uniqueness, we examine their market opportunity and business model, and finally we get to be on-board helping them to scale. The Stanford cohort will allow our team to deepen our understanding of VC investment strategies and thesis, engage with potential partners, expand horizons and ideas, and use the insights gained to strengthen our investment team's approach. We look forward to sharing new investment perspectives.#VCUnlocked #500Global

I’ll be joining 45+ VCs and emerging fund managers from 20 countries in the 11th cohort at Stanford University in September 2024. I’m looking forward to shaping the future of the VC ecosystem with this incredible group of emerging leaders! #VCUnlocked #500Global - Meet Andrea Siciliani, a pivotal founding member of TechEnergy Ventures. Drawing on his background in aerospace engineering and complemented by an MBA, Andrea transitioned into the realm of corporate venturing. His journey began as an executive assistant to the chairman at Techint Group, where he gained firsthand exposure to high-level executive meetings and a deep understanding of corporate strategy. It was during his time in the role that he became instrumental in the launch of Techint's corporate development unit focused on sustainability. In 2022, this effort led to the creation of the Corporate Venture Capital division, where he drives investments. Currently, Andrea leads the charge in Hydrogen, Long Duration Energy Storage, and Steel investments. Additionally, he is overseeing the organization of a seed funding round for an internal hydrogen startup. This venture, which employs methane pyrolysis to produce hydrogen, underscores TechEnergy's commitment to fostering innovation within their ecosystem. Stay tuned as Andrea Siciliani continues to steer TechEnergy Ventures towards pioneering advancements in sustainable energy solutions! 🚀✨ #TechEnergy #Sustainability #HydrogenInnovation

We're proud to be among the investors driving the future of energy storage with Peak Energy's $55M Series A funding round. Teaming up with industry pioneers Landon Mossburg, Cameron Dales, Liam O'Connor, and the outstanding Peak Energy team marks a pivotal moment in the manufacturing of sodium-ion battery technology. With the increasing demand for energy, the need for scalable and cost-effective clean energy solutions has never been more urgent. Peak Energy's sodium-ion technology provides a revolutionary answer—reliable, affordable utility-scale storage that maximizes the advantages of renewable energy. This solution is crucial for establishing a resilient, decarbonized grid. Backed by leadership with extensive experience from Tesla, Northvolt, SunPower, and Enovix, Peak Energy is poised for accelerated growth and influence in the global energy landscape. Pleased to collaborate and partner with Xora Innovation, Eclipse, TDK Ventures, Lachy Groom, Tishman Speyer and Doral Energy-Tech Ventures in our commitment to supporting Peak Energy. See the Press Release here for more details:https://lnkd.in/dQZcKdgmJoin us in congratulating Peak Energy on this remarkable achievement! 🌍💡#EnergyStorage #SodiumIonBattery #RenewableEnergyInvestment
Peak Energy has secured a $55M Series A to launch full-scale production of our proven sodium-ion battery technology! As energy demand skyrockets from the rise of AI and other applications, we must double down on renewable energy as the go-to source to power a new era of technological advancement, and that means prioritizing large-scale storage. Sodium-ion offers crucial advantages in cost, supply chain security, scale, and safety over lithium-ion – and doesn’t come at the cost of our planet. With the shift to sodium-ion technology underway worldwide at giga-scale, Peak Energy is on track to deliver this proven battery chemistry at scale in the U.S. We're incredibly grateful to our partners at Xora Innovation, Eclipse, TDK Ventures, Lachy Groom, Tishman Speyer, Doral and TechEnergy Ventures for their support and investment in the sustainable future of energy and our planet. We’re excited to progress towards providing domestic utility-scale sodium-ion storage. By focusing on the bigger picture of our planet, we’re advancing clean energy solutions and driving decarbonization of the grid. Together, we can build a cleaner, more resilient world for generations to come. Read more about this exciting milestone in Bloomberg: https://lnkd.in/eBUP2t5B -

Excited to share with Ricardo Markous, CEO of Tecpetrol, our vision for the energy transition. Reflecting on our first investment in Quaise Energy three years ago and the strong partnerships we've forged along the way to drive disruptive technologies forward Chevron Technology Ventures Aramco Ventures United Airlines JetBlue Ventures.
