Locks are a part of it whether it is the main door lock, interconnecting door lock, bathroom door lock, furniture lock, baggage lock, shutter and grill door lock, etc. Here, we have proposed a smart door lock based on knock pattern detection to unlock the door. The project is based on custom-made Arduino whose sole purpose is cost cutting of the end product and the algorithm for knock pattern detection is written using the Arduino programming environment. We have included a reset button along with two statuses LEDs that are very useful for the testing of the project and registering new knocks. When the user knocks, custom Arduino board matches the knock pattern with the knocking algorithm and unlocks the door if the knock pattern matches with the pattern detecting algorithm and the user can open the door; else, it sends a notification to the owner warning about the intrusion.

There are few more important parameters like speed, increasing operation frequency, and density of Complementary Metal-oxide Semiconductor circuits but power dissipation has become a critical parameter in such designs. Work done in this paper focuses on power, delay, and energy optimization of sequential digital Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits using Multi-Threshold CMOS (MTCMOS) technique. Different types of power, leakage, and energy reduction techniques have been discussed in this paper. The experiment is conduct with the power and ground gating techniques for MTCMOS. The virtual voltage of the power line and ground line is found by the power supplied to the circuit. 3-bit shift register has been designed with 32 and 45 nm technology.

Research paper thumbnail of Telugu Speech Recognition Using Combined MFCC, MODGDF Feature Extraction Techniques and MLP, TLRN Classifiers

Telugu is the standard language used to communicate mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states... more Telugu is the standard language used to communicate mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states with approximately 100 million speakers. Every Telugu word ends with vowels. Automatic speech recognition has major applications in the smart world. Telugu speech recognition has a huge scope of research from past decade. This paper deals with Telugu speech recognition in a speaker-dependent format for 10 words which are numbers from one to ten uttered by 10 speakers which creates a data base of 100 samples. Numbers are very frequently spoken words where recognition of these words plays a major role in Telugu speech recognition. These spoken words are preprocessed using various techniques like de-noising, framing, sampling, transformations, and endpoint detection. Methods like mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) and combined MFCC with modified group delay functions (MODGDF) are used for extracting the features. Extracted features are used for training and testing phase. Multilaye...

Diversity is a technique which is used to mitigate the fading problem in wireless channel at a relatively low cost .This paper gives the review of different diversity techniques to mitigate the fading problem and for improving the overall performance of the communication system. In different diversity techniques, space diversity technique is an important technique and maximum ratio combining (MRC) is the most effective technique which is a part of space diversity technique.MRC produces an output signal to noise ratio (SNR) equal to the sum of the individual SNRs.

The sample was synthesized and sintered at 800° C for 5 h and characterization of the sample was carried by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDAX). The result pattern of the sample confirms the formation of tetragonal structure from XRD, and the average crystallite size was calculated using Debye Scherer’s formula. The average size of particles was estimated of 101 nm. The SEM analysis shows the clear visibility of pure particle formation with regular shape. The catalogue of EDAX verifies the existence of homogeneous mixing of Cu, Fe, and O. The dielectric measurements were carried out using LCR meter in the range from 40 Hz to 8 MHz. The dielectric value attains a maximum value of 4.35 and decreases with an increase in the frequency.
