I am camp counselor. Not fully licensed, so I suppose it's kind of sketchy, but...I'm in AA, 4 years sober, and a rape survivor, so have a little personal experience to draw on. I'm also facing a lot here. I was a camper here when I was younger, and had some wonderful experiences, and some horrible ones, which I also use to inform my work here. I use dreamwork, and intuitive work, as well as traditional psychology, which I'm studying at USC along with film. I also run on a lot.
I have had the chance to really screw up some relationships, and work to redeem them like with Orli, and Scarlett, and Billy. I missed some chances early on, like with Randy, and Elijah, and would like to make them up somehow. And I've been lucky enough to find supportive friends, and love.
In my role as counselor I have private appointments available to camp members at 
weekminder. And I keep a dream journal at 
gyllendreams
I also watch over the camplibrary with Rachel Wiesz, where campers can hookup with dicitonaries, encyclopedia, IMDB, and other great reference sites.

and, sadly, although many of those are Jake's real crusades, I am not, not will I ever be, Jake Gyllenhaal. I admire him, and hope I do him some measure of justice, in this journal, but except for his name and image (sorry, Jakey, but you are too beautiful to ignore!) all the rest is FICTION.
