we bought baby proofing things to hold cabinets shut and etc. before violet was born. i've got some free time now so i decided to start putting them out. violets pretty much crawling now. not far, but i just know i'm gonna wake up one morning and she's gonna be in my bed. she's still sleeping in her arms reach co-sleeper. we're gonna have to switch to a crib in the next couple weeks. but, anyway, these baby proofing things are intense! i'm not sure how i'll get under my sink ever again. are baby's really evil geniuses?!

violet is already in the beginning part of her third month. she's become aware of her hands and bats at/clutches her toys for dear life. she uses her voice a lot. we're even 90% sure she's teething already. my little booger is growing up so fast :(( my big girl Collapse )i pulled some major muscle in my back while putting violet on her changing table. a motion i've done a thousand times. so i've spent most of the weekend on a heating pad and now i've got one of those belts you strap around your back/abs. sexy. jons been helping out a ton 'cause i'm really not able to pick her up. i can hold her if she's handed to me (most of the time) but it's really hard to not be able to just grab her or bend down to lay her on the bed. i'm really hoping it feels a lot better tomorrow while i'm alone when jon's at work. if not i'll just work through it. ouch.

[ mood \| weeee. ] i had my interview for the treatment home job. amazing with all the security i was able to get dead lost and wander around a facility with total video surveillance. went GREAT. i have to wait until i turn 21 to be able to start, so i'll be going in just after my birthday on the 3rd to negotiate the whole thing. my pay rate's going up a smidge and i'll be working ten hour shifts four days a week which i greatly prefer. i'm still stoked about the whole thing. it will be good for me to be challenged. adventure!it looks like i'll be spending my birthday in new orleans. jason has some business down there and i decided i'd tag along before we planned it out and realized the trip would fall on my birthday. perfect, right? send positive energy out in the universe for that to all work out. fall and winter are so the times when i get everything flowing correctly so i can just float through summer (there's no spring in the desert). now i'm turning this into a picture post because i wanna and this way all my friends that have turned digital on me, instead of flesh and stuff, can keep up with my appearance. important somehow. ( jo Collapse )i got a wisdom tooth pulled yesterday and they let me keep it. all gross looking and long. they prescribed 20 vicodan for the non-existant pain, which might be why i'm so content laid out in pink flannel sheets and not real excited about going to class. before i got it pulled the pain would get so bad i'd burst into tears a couple times a day. oh, and i decided to stop eating dairy about three months ago. i might explain my reasoning with that later on. so far i've only slipped up once in a ranch dressing incident because i never questioned wether there was dairy in that or not. i guess that's kind of obvious. whatever. i still eat meat and eggs.

[ mood \| sleepy ] is anyone planning on or want to go to coachella fest this year? i think depeche mode is on the list definitely and the rumor mill list has portishead, massive attack, a bunch of others i can't remember but will find out ASAP. i want to go. i AM going.it's april 29th and 30th. i live really close, so if someone wants to come with me i have a bed to share. i was thinking about going both days& renting a camping space. i bet we could find a hippy to drop acid with. seriously. tickets go on sale feb. 4th. i'm scheduled for 78.5 hours this week. no doubt some overtime is going to slip in there. i haven't had a day off since i got back from boston& i'm praying i get monday off on the next schedule. spring semester starts!

a photographer from iv press took pictures of us at our wall of honor memorializing the anniversary of the war and the people lost with my digital camera. we're gonna be in the paper again and thats nice. preview before i run off to class to prove it was taken with my camera and i have access to it? i don't know but it makes me cool i think.
