10:39 am - bowldiva - Java Spreadsheet Im new to this group, mainly because I am taking a class that requires some Java. We are trying to make a Java spreadsheet, this teacher covers 2 chapters a week and for being a beginner it is way too fast for me. Has anyone had any experience in making a Java Spreadsheet that would like to give me a starting point? Im not a stranger to the language but I'm really at a loss at where to start. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
11:39 am - lemmywinks30 - errors I keep catching an error in my program but I am having trouble reading the log. I think it has to do with the servlet outputting the jsp page since when I used another jsp page in its place, it worked. The strange thing is that I have the same project running in VAJ on my desktop and it works fine. On the Websphere machine some things are not working...anyway here is the log.**( sorry so longCollapse )**This was in the other log, what does it mean?:Note: C:\WebSphere\AppServer\temp\default_host\default_app\_ats_2F_atstest_2F_admin_2F_employeelist_2E_jsp_jsp_3.java uses or overrides a deprecated API. Recompile with "-deprecation" for details.1 warningcom.ibm.servlet.engine.webapp.UncaughtServletException: Server caught unhandled exception from servlet [jsp10]: Server caught unhandled exception from JSP [employeelist.jsp]
12:28 pm - neophoenix - Tomcat hosts? (x-posted all over the damn place)I am currently looking for a good web host that offer Tomcat AND php AND some kind of database (MySQL or PostGres - I'm not picky). I'd also like to go with someone who has a sane usage policy (I once had a site yanked by addr.net due to "inappropriate content").Currently, http://www.oxxus.net/ looks pretty good.Anyone have any other suggestions?
