01:53 pm - littlewhilegone Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial of how to create a GUI that will allow a user to extract/isolate (i guess crop) parts of picture files (gifs/jpegs) and save those segments into a new file?
06:29 pm - thanew Ok, I know this question is probably an annoyance to some of you code ninjas out there but here it goes...started my GUI class today, and for some reason he wants us to use java for half the semester.. yes I already know java, but I am more accustomed to using something along the lines of visual studio.net -- yes, I know some of you may loathe microsoft and the products they make, but the fact of the matter is, atleast in my opinion (yes i just contradicted myself, but) visual studio.net is a lot easier to code GUI (well its not really coding just drag and drop)so my question is, is there something, maybe a free alternative to Sun's Java Studio (i believe its called) that actually has a great GUI editor (JBuilder seemed sort of off, and my friend told me the eclipse plugins were a bit off) so, are there any IDE's that will be a viable option for my vs.net dependent self?tia, thane
