Java the Hut is a small cafe/coffee house located on fifth street in the university town of Perinthus, NY. The interior is warm and comfortable, with small tables set at irregular intervals, each containing two to four chairs.

In the center of the room is a comfortable area with two mismatched overstuffed chairs, a couch, and a coffee table. On the coffee table, various literary magazines and publications are spread for perusal.

Bookshelves are built into the walls, and contain various used books, chapbooks, and small novelties. There's a counter to order at, behind which are lists of the various food and drinks for sale. Typical coffeshop fare, really- though the soup is homemade and rather good. Most of the food is organic and natural.

Fliers are posted in the windows announcing the weekly Open Mic nights for poets and musicians, and various special events.

Rules:
Please join your character to the community, and post for your character, to the community in first person.

Roleplaying can take place through comments. For example, if one character posts about sitting on the couch working on their latest poem- another character might comment to that post comming up and asking what they're writing. And so on...

Perinthus, NY is a fictional town in which the equally fictional cafe is located. The town contains Perinthus University and the cafe- other than that, whatever it contains is up to you. Feel free to make up details to fill in the town as we play.

Obviously, since this is a collaborative writing/roleplaying game with a real-life kind of setting, your character can't have super powers, or be an elf, or whathaveyou.

The community is open memmbership, so you can just join up and start posting for your character when you're ready to.

If you're going to make an out of character post, please mark OOC in the title so we know.

You may want to post a little intro for your character so that people know a bit about him or her.
