I've been meaning to post this idea for a little while now but just finally got around to it with the holidays. This is not talking about a specific Twitter-like service for artists (though one may exist) but simply a way of using Twitter itself to assist artists. Twitter http://www.twitter.com is a very interesting tool simply because it is essentially raw text with no formatting or structure imposed. This nature allows Twitter to be, and in some ways has been, used for pretty much anything.
