Producing over 4 decades of entertainment,
Jerry Bruckheimer is known as a creative force in both television and franchise films.
Working with Don Simpson in the 1980s and 90s, he produced Flashdance (1983), Thief of Hearts (1984), Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and its sequel Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Top Gun (1986) and Days of Thunder (1990), as well as Bad Boys (1995), Crimson Tide (1995), Dangerous Minds (1995) and The Rock (1996).
The 2000s brought wide-ranging success, introducing audiences to the ground breaking CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), with spinoffs including CSI: Miami (2002), CSI: NY (2004) and CSI: Cyber (2015).
Three years later, he made a sequel to his “Bad Boys” in 2003, Bad Boys II (2003) followed by Bad Boys for Life (2020).
He launched the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, starting with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003).
The first film spawned sequels like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), as well as the “National Treasure” franchise, comprising of two films National Treasure (2004) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007).
Further film and TV success followed with Lucifer (2016) and L.A.’s Finest (2019). In 2022, Bruckheimer again teamed up with Tom Cruise for the wildly successful sequel to Top Gun (1986), Top Gun: Maverick (2022) – earning close to $1.5B worldwide.
2024 brought the release of 4 films; The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024) starring Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson, Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024), Young Woman and the Sea (2024) starring Daisy Ridley, and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2024).
