Tumor suppressor Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein 1 (SFRP1) may participate in the aberrant evolution of OSCC, the intrinsic molecular mechanisms of which may provide effective therapeutic targets. Methods: A bioinformatics analysis was carried out on a publicly available database using R language to map the prognostic value, immune infiltration and enrichment of SFRP1 expression. Subsequently, in vitro experiments were conducted to unveil the biological function of SFRP1. Results: SFRP1 was found to be ubiquitously lowly expressed in OSCC using a Wilcoxon rank-sum test. Univariate analysis confirmed that those patients characterized by a low SFRP1 expression were significantly associated with advanced T-stage, clinical stage and poor mortality (p < 0.05). Furthermore, SFRP1 displayed a positive performance in tumor immune infiltration, especially in mast cells...

China is in a critical period of economic transformation and upgrading, and the problem of intellectual property infringement is becoming increasingly prominent. Accordingly, in this study, an evolutionary game analysis-based behavioral interaction framework between innovative enterprises and local government regulators, based on evolutionary game theory, was constructed. The strategy choice of both sides of the game and the evolutionary stability of the system were analyzed, and the evolutionary path of each equilibrium point was verified by simulation. The results show that the proposed framework is complex; the dynamic evolutionary system has different evolutionary equilibrium states under different institutional environments. Profit is not the only factor affecting the behavior decision of enterprises; the behavior strategies...

The authors construct a model of the relationship between these entities. It is an evolutionary game in which the players are entities that generate pollutants and the government departments that implement pollution supervision. The choice of strategies of both of these entities and the evolutionary stability of the system controlled by different regulatory efforts, i.e., a third party, are analyzed. The authors then verify the evolutionary paths and evolutionary results of the model under different conditions using simulation analysis based on this model. The conducted research shows that the weak power of third-party supervision is not enough to promote the evolution of the behavioral decisions of the government and enterprises. An appropriate increase in the power of third-party supervision will...

The global IoT platform market continues to rise significantly. To enable the interoperability among heterogeneity of IoT platforms becomes a big challenge for the development trend of the IoT nowadays. This paper presents an open framework based IoT interoperability architecture. This architecture offers the required functionalities for integrating with heterogeneous IoT platforms using open framework based on RESTful. Proposed open framework was designed to facilitate the integration of multiple IoT platforms in different standards. The result of our work indicates that the proposed architecture assists the development of interoperable IoT ecosystems.

In recent years, cloud computing has attracted a lot of attention from specialists and experts around the world. With the increasing number of distributed sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks, new models for interacting with wireless sensors using the cloud are intended to overcome restricted resources and efficiency. In this paper, we propose a novel sensor-cloud based platform which is able to virtualize physical sensors as virtual sensors in the CoT (Cloud of Things) environment. Virtual sensors, which are the essentials of this sensor-cloud architecture, simplify the process of generating a multiuser environment over resource-constrained physical wireless sensors and can help in implementing applications across dif...

Researchers have reached a consensus on the thermal discomfort known as the major cause of sick b... more Researchers have reached a consensus on the thermal discomfort known as the major cause of sick building syndrome, which hurts people's health and working efficiency greatly. As a result, the thermal environment satisfaction is important and thus many studies have been dedicated to thermal comfort over the past few decades. Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) is one of the globally used standards to express users' comfort satisfaction with the given thermal moderate environments. It has been widely used in most of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain this standard of thermal comfort for occupants of buildings. However, the PMV model is developed on indoor experimental data without taking into account conditions of outdoor space, which greatly affects the performance of the existing HVAC systems and varies with the seasons. In this paper, an enhanced Model-based Predictive Control practical system for maintaining the indoor thermal comfort is demonstrated, including a multiple linear regression predictive model and an innovative fuzzy controller considering both the PMV index and the outdoor environment conditions. To verify the usability of the designed system, an Internet of Things (IoT) smart space prototype was chosen and experimentally tested in a building in Jeju, Korea. Moreover, thermal comfort regulation performances using the proposed approach have been compared with the existing one. The results of our work indicate that the proposed solution is capable of optimizing the thermal comfort condition according to seasonality and outperforms the conventional approaches in different performance indexes.

This paper presents a game-theory-based interaction mechanism of local financing platforms and a PPP model based on the government heterogeneity objective function. The study results found that the central government’s tolerance of local governments participating directly in municipal projects with financing platforms or PPP models mainly depends on land price premiums. When the premium is small, the collusion between local governments and financing platforms does not violate the objectives of the central government. Then, local and central governments prefer financing platforms to participate directly in municipal projects. In contrast, the local government prefers the financing platform model when the premium is significant. The central government no longer tolerates the financing platform model and...

However, it is going to be hard enough convincing that the blockchain technology could completely replace the trust among trading partners in the sharing economy as sharing services always operate in a highly dynamic environment. With the rapid expanding of the rental market, the sharing economy faces more and more severe challenges in the form of regulatory uncertainty and concerns about abuses. This paper proposes an enhanced decentralized sharing economy service using the service level agreement (SLA), which documents the services the provider will furnish and defines the service standards the provider is obligated to meet. The SLA specifications are defined as the smart contract, which facilitates multi-user collaboration and automates the process with no ...

As the number of mobile phone users is large and growing, mobile tourist guides have attracted considerable research interest in recent years. In this paper, we propose an optimal travel route recommender system by analyzing the data history of previous users. The open dataset used covers the travel data from thousands of mobile tourists who visited Jeju in a full year. Our approach is not only personalized to users’ preferences but also able to recommend a travel route rather than individual POIs (Points of Interest). An association rule mining-based approach, which takes into account contextual information (date, season and places already visited by previous users), is used to produce travel routes from the large dataset. There are extensive networks of underground facilities to fulfil the demand, such as water supply pipelines, sewage pipelines, metro structures, etc. Hence, a method to regularly assesses the risk of the underground facility failures is needed to decrease the chance of accidental loss of service or accidents that endanger people and facilities. In the proposed work, a cohesive hierarchical fuzzy inference system (CHFIS) was developed. A novel method is proposed for membership function (MF) determination called the heuristic based membership functions determination (HBMFD) method to determine an appropriate MF set for each fuzzy logic method in CHFIS. The proposed model was developed to decrease the number of rules for the full structure fuzzy inference system with all rule implementation. Four very crucial parameters were considered in ...

IoT will increase the ubiquity of the Internet by integrating all objects for interaction via embedded systems, leading to a highly distributed network of devices communicating with human beings as well as other devices. In recent years, the development of the IoT application is a complex task requiring a wide range of expertise. And this is an important issue for inexperienced developers, especially non-programmable skills, in order to quickly build IoT prototypes. To solve this problem, this paper proposes improved IoT object virtualization scheme. The proposed method uses the existed concept of virtual objects to allow end-users to create virtual objects through simple actions such as drag-and-drop and clicks, and so on. We implement the prototype of IoT object virtualization based on IETF CoAP protocol using Intel Edison boards with different sensors and actuators. The proposed IoT object virtualization scheme support to connect a virtual objects with visual components and physical IoT devices. Accordingly, we access physical IoT devices using virtual objects.
