In trying to get back in to making graphics, I just cleaned out the Makers in this community and will be doing the same with Members and Makers at juicy_grapes.

Active Makers do NOT have to re-join.

Hey - since we are promoting now. We have to take the CLOSED sign off the profile for JG and make it more welcoming. Can we get that removed today. A few of us have started promoting and Juicy Grapes says it is closed. So just wondering about that. Looks odd.

I think we just need to edit the profile to take that off and it will be good to go.

Hey all -- in anticipation of juicy_grapes reopening, I have made some promo graphics for us all to get the word out about the comm. Vinnie and I talked about using these as a teaser campaign to post on our journals and at other comms so we can boost membership and promote, promote, promote. So here are some buttons with the active links for you. Some are small and some are big. I made a bunch so you could pick what you like. And when we are ready we can just blitz out there with the posts. We can also use these for members to have them post about the comm and do a promo contest if we want. I think we should really celebrate the reopening and feel free to use these. No credit needed really. I am not caring about that.

This week two people (one of them my poppa) I know crashed and lost all their files and data and this is so not necessary. I am reposting this as a PSA. Really, you don't have to lose anything as this program allows you to run your computer when you are disabled...and SALVAGE your data yourself. Read on...and make a knoppix disc today. You will be happy you did. This is a free utility program. Anyways...hope this helps someone on my flist. Cross-posting from my personal journal. Anyone who is a maker should have this. And no, I am not making money at this. I just know it works.

I am posting this and probably will do this routinely as a public service announcement as my sort of geek advice to my friends list. If you do not have a disk of knoppix in your arsenal of software you keep in case of a computer crash, you should, you really should. This free utility will allow you to run a crashed computer, salvage your data and operate on a disabled computer.

I am wondering what the time line for the new community is? I am not posting offers in JG right now as I was holding things for the new comm. So any news on that? Just trying to plan my work. Thank you!

Anyone who has a website and uses a webset usually they are created at pixel sites...I was wondering about changing graphics in pre made sets....Can you do that? or does anyone know where i might obtain a dragon webset for my website?

I could make one i just need the webset codes...

Okay i noticed when disaster struck the south people flocked to donate and help out. The community disasterfund was created which is an amazing idea...But what baffles me is recently a severe tornado struck Joplin Missouri nothing was said...No icons were made, no graphics were made, No one said anything. I am told that this was the worst tornado to hit the us. I guess why i am so concerned by the lack of posts to help out Missouri is because i have a close friend who lost his best friend in this tragedy. Thankfully my friend was able to find out information on his step father, uncle and niece and nephew and they are safe. He talked to his step dad who told him they had 3 minutes to get to shelter once the alarm sounded. Not much time to get 3 adults and 2 kids to safety.

So has anyone started any efforts toward getting donations for Joplin Relief? If not would anyone be interested in joining me in trying to get help for them?

Can someone please tell me what Extended Info is? Is that a livejournal thing or something else all together? I have seen it mentioned a few times i was just wondering what it was...
