There have been discussions on the possibility of an enduring alliance between Dalit and Muslim c... more There have been discussions on the possibility of an enduring alliance between Dalit and Muslim community; however, in most of its attempt, it failed to bring both groups on a single platform at community level because of the presence of real or perceived prejudices among both communities. There is a need to reconsider the approach through which these social justice parties as well as civil societies are striving to achieve this objective. India is the land of caste, not religion, and caste is the basic unit of analysis for every aspect of individual life. Therefore, the article argues that there is a real possibility of alliances between socially marginalised groups of various religious communities. Instead of wasting
time for seeking alliance between Dalit-Muslim we shall rather emphasise on the Dalit-Pasmanda alliance based on the shared feeling of lived experiences of subjugation and discrimination.

In each of the chapters, the causes are identified that demolish the myth of cultural, psychologi... more In each of the chapters, the causes are identified that demolish the myth of cultural, psychological, racial and developmental factors that shape the stereotype of violent personalities. The book brings out the hidden agenda of violence as a tool of coercion used by governments, rival groups and natives. Violence is identified as a quintessential tool for dominance over resources and territory, wherein SGBV is the most effective weapon of subjugation and humiliation. Serving as an eye opener, the book makes valuable contribution towards understanding refugee experiences in their entirety and is recommended for the relevant insights that can help various stakeholders in having a more humane approach towards refugees. More so, in the light of the current paradigm of refugee related interstate tensions that have fast become a global phenomenon.
