So lets go over some Ross-related crazy...Grad Sleepover is on 4/20, great day to get a bunch of teenagers together all night. Keep us off the streets and out of trouble, right?Grad Survey was just weird... but maybe that's just me. I mean, I don't know what my most memorable moment in all my years at Ross has been... seems a little broad to me.Guidance signed me up for the wrong Italian and the wrong Spanish classes, and so for the second time in two days I had to go down to deal with stuff, but at least it's all cool now!Now that Mr Jacobs lives across the pod from me, Mr Wilson is planning on buying a house in my condo too... We have too many teachers and exteachers round here... heh... teachers, exteachers, highschoolers and university students. What a crew, huh? Having Mr Jacobs and Mr Wilson here would certainly make the pool a more unique experience... oo la la! :pAnything else I've missed? Or just everything?"In 50 years you'll be in your late 60s and Ross will be 100 years old, what do you think will still be the same about the building?"-The climate control will still be crazy.Current Location: homeCurrent Mood: tiredCurrent Music: Xerxes Tags: grads, guidance, school, yearbook (Leave a comment) |

Does anyone know that database that our teachers are always recommending students go to when looking for statistics or articles or something like that?I keep thinking that it's UNESCO or UBESCO or something like that, but that's not quite right. Please help!(3 comments | Leave a comment) |

I just got a phone call from the school about the 50th reunion coming up in May.I think it was intended for my parents, in case they went to Ross, but they didn't go. Anyway, it said to pass the message on to anyone else who is a former student from Ross, so here is the website:http://www.rossreunion.ca/Jan. 22nd, 2006 @ 10:56 am(Leave a comment) |

_When you got a hundred voices singin'Who can hear a lousy whistle blow? And the world will knowThat this ain't no gameThat we got a ton of rotten fruit and perfect aim_So. We all know about this whole 'common lunch' thing. We've all complained about it. We've made up petitions, we've tried to get Cameron to talk to people. Well, today, Slater came up with an excellent plan. Why not strike? Not a huge thing. But we have the basic idea of it now, and all we need now is to pass along the information. And yeah, I'm pulling a David and organizing it. So, here are the details. On the first day back in the second semester (that's February sixth, a Monday), at lunch, everyone who does not want common lunch walks out onto the front lawn of the school. No one buys from the cafeteria. I'm going to contact the local newspapers and get some coverage. I've already gotten Greg to cover it for the yearbook. So we're going to walk out and prove to the world in a simple, easy way that We Don't Agree. The board is telling everyone that we, the students, love common lunch and are all so very happy we got it. Well, I know that I, at least, don't like it. And instead of sitting around complaining, let's do something! Let's show some solidarity, people! Let's use our voices and speak up! Bulletpoints for those of us with ADD:~Walkout on February sixth to protest common lunch.~Walkout is during lunch only.~There will (hopefully) be media.~No one buys from the cafeteria.~Spread the word to everyone you know, and a couple of people you don't.~Try not to let teachers know about this whole thing. _And the old will fallAnd the young stand tallAnd the time is nowAnd the winds will blowAnd our ranks will grow and grow and grow and soThe world will feel the fireAnd finally know!_Jan. 10th, 2006 @ 07:31 pm(Leave a comment) |

just because it's been a while since anyones posted here and I feel something needs to be done about itSo, FROSTY season is quickly approaching, and I know we all have different homeforms and what not, but for the sake of conversations, does anyone have any suggestions for things we could do in our classes or something we'd like to see? This past summer I was going to get a bunch of my brothers friends over and take a bunch of pictures of them 'posed' without t-shirts (sunshine boy type deal) and then get a bunch of pictures of them doing something stupid (more than likely while drunk) and then make a 'Dreams and Reality' calendar... man that would have been so awesome. There would have been a guy edition and a girls edition (it makes me sad how many good looking people my brother know... and of course he himself is said to be goodlooking *shudder and glares at friends*). My friend Kim's dad works at some professional printing place so it'd be all... well professional looking ^^;. I'm so mad at myself for fogetting about it until it was too cold to do it and all his friends were back at college and where ever it is they all go.Anyone else have any cool ideas?Dec. 2nd, 2005 @ 10:40 pm(3 comments | Leave a comment) |
