Summary: It's a half kind of life, working for Rossum and living in the Dollhouse, and that's just the actives that Topher programs. Topher's life, his thoughts, his abilities, and his very existence have all been building to this one moment. He doesn't know how to stop the chain of events that he's unwittingly triggered, he doesn't think that it's even possible.
But, maybe he can take himself out of the equation and still get something that he wants in the process.

How posting works
All authors will be given posting access. When your day hits have your post to the comm ready to go (with links from your artist or artists). Final fic drafts and art rough drafts (so you don't have to have the art complete but you do need to be able to show you have started and made progress on the art) are due June 4th give or take a few hours (or even a day, just get it in so I don't freak out and send you frantic PMs please :D)

Please follow these instructions to submit your final fic and art drafts. This way we can know where people are and where to put them in the posting schedule (so authors and artists that are done will go towards the beginning, while ones that need some more time will be scheduled towards the end).

Posting will last for a week (with a fic a day) so those that need more time then that please PM me right away.

If you will not be able to make claims at that time don't despair, we have around 30 fics from various fandoms and types to choose from.

It's time to start turning in your rough drafts!

You have until April 19th to email us your rough draft, as long as its the 19th somewhere you are good. If you think you'll get it in a day or two late send us an email letting us know to expect your fic.

Ideally your rough draft needs to be more than 10,000 words and completed, however since these are rough drafts at least turn in 8,000 words with more than 80% of the fic done. I've accepted less in the past rounds and will only do so again if the author is ABSOLUTELY sure they will finish the story and they can given the artist enough to work with.

PLEASE KEEP THE CODING IN YOUR EMAIL!, we copy and paste this part into the claims and its really a pain to have to redo all the coding. The only things that will be taken out is the LJ username, percent complete, and current word count. Pay special attention to the summary because that is what artists will be using to claim a story so make sure to spellcheck it and be aware of the length (a sentence or two won't be enough for an artist to make a claim but claims are first come first served and an artist might overlook a huge block of text)

Then add your fic as an attachment, we would prefer it if you had it as an .doc but we can take .docx and .rtf

Any questions about submitting your rough draft comment with them to this post and we will help you all we can.

We are getting close to the time when rough drafts will be due and we know not everyone will be able to finish the challenge. In the next couple of weeks chances are we will sending out a series of annoying emails reminding authors who haven't turned in their drafts to turn them in. So, if you will be able to complete the challenge please comment with the following and we will remove you from the spreadsheet.

There will be no consequences, and we would love to see you again in the next round and hope you are able to finish your story. All comments are screened so the mods will be the only ones to see this.

This is the last checkpoint, rough drafts are due April 19th (one week from now) so you should be finishing up your fic or fics.
