Ozonized method for the destruction of microbiological pathogens is essential to protect the public from outbreaks of waterborne disease. This paper discuss ozonized treatment of drinkable water as a strategy for environmental protection, Ozone is very reactive and may pose cost of treatment. The risk from the presence of microbial pathogens in drinking-water is estimated to be greater than the risk from producing an ozone plant. Any efforts to discourage it, must not compromise the microbiological quality of drinking-water. This paper therefore emphasizes on the effects of chlorination by-products and the global burden of disease and death from microbial contamination of water

This had become an opportunity for developing countries in Africa which have mineral deposits comes with its accompanying repercussions. The most pressing repercussion is the illegal mining activities. Environmentally hostile mining activities in an uncontrollable manner, that has cause untold destruction to mother earth, which is often accompanied by pollution of the soil and rivers is called an illegal mining This paper looks at the general mining environment as a whole, narrowed down to developing countries with emphasis on illegal mining as one of the biggest problems with regard to environmental destruction and ecological disruptions. This paper also discuss the implications of illegal mining on the doctrine of the united Nations on sustainable Environmental Development of the agenda 21.
