Kamen Rider Double

Kamen Rider W (仮面ライダーW（ダブル）, Kamen Raidā Daburu, "Kamen Rider Double") may refer to any of the following partners and characters.

When Shotaro and Philip set their Gaia Memories into the Doubledriver Belt, Philip's conscious mind enters Shotaro's body to produce Double (except when they change into FangJoker, where the opposite happens, and in Xtreme related forms, both fuse into one, due to Philip's body being stored in the Xtreme Memory). Their quote at the start of a battle is "Now, count up your sins!" (さあ、お前の罪を数えろ！, Saa, omae no tsumi o kazoero!), a quote originally used by their predecessor and mentor, Sokichi Narumi.

When combined as Double, Shotaro usually does most of the talking, though both speak when saying their pre-battle quote and announcing Maximum Drive attack names. When Philip speaks by himself when transformed, Double's right eye flashes. Double's ability to function is dependent on the condition of both Shotaro and Philip. If their synchronization is somehow disrupted, Kamen Rider Double will be unable to move properly. If their Rider form takes any significant amounts of damage, both of them will feel the pain after returning to normal and Philip will often pass out due to his weaker constitution. Shotaro's habit of flicking his wrist carries over to Double.

Rather than having explicitly defined forms like the Phase 1 Heisei Riders, Double began the trend of mix-and-match powers, a feature shared by several other Phase 2 Heisei Riders and Reiwa Riders. Through the different Gaia Memories, Double has access to various combinations of powers, weapons, strengths, and weaknesses. Kamen Rider Double's forms accessed through their first six Gaia Memories are known as Half Changes (ハーフチェンジ, Hāfu Chenji), due to the fact that Double can switch out one (or both) Gaia Memories in the belt in a Memory Change (メモリチェンジ, Memori Chenji) to change halves of their bodies into a new form.

Each different version of Kamen Rider Double has its own finishing attack known as Maximum Drive (マキシマムドライブ, Makishimamu Doraibu) of which power is needed to defeat a Dopant. The energy imparted by the Maximum Drive does not destroy the Dopant but rather its Gaia Memory, resulting in the ejection of the Gaia Memory from the user's body, reverting the person to normal and the destruction of the Gaia Memory, hence why such a procedure is called a Memory Break (メモリブレイク, Memori Bureiku).

CycloneJoker (サイクロンジョーカー, Saikuron Jōkā) is Double's green and black primary and default form accessed by using the Cyclone and Joker Memories in the Doubledriver, hence known as the Fast Skilled Warrior (疾風の切り札, Shippū no Kirifuda). CycloneJoker. It is considered to be the most well balanced, thus making it Double's default form, despite being capable of initiating transformation with any set of Double's Gaia Memories.

During the events of Shotaro's _jidaigeki_-influenced dream, the Gaia Memories are replaced by wooden placards known as kifuda (木札, _kifuda) and uses the Japanese pronunciation of the Gaia Memory names or synonyms; thus, this form is dubbed as Shippu Kirifuda (疾風 切札, Shippū Kirifuda, Whirlwind/Trump card). During the transformation, kabuki makeup-like patterns appears on Shotaro's face.

CycloneJoker consists of the following parts:[2]

• Double Mask (ダブルマスク, Daburu Masuku): The head. It controls all of Kamen Rider Double's central nervous systems. The basic functions and names of the masks are the same for all nine styles. However, some functions may be increased or decreased depending on its form, such as improved eyesight in the case of the LunaTrigger, which is specialized for shooting.
  • Gaia Shell (ガイアシェル, Gaiasheru): It has the same strength as the exoskeleton part of the body, and by layering it in multiple layers, it is the strongest part of Double's body.
  • Central Partition (セントラルパーテーション, Sentoraru Pātēshon): It is an organ similar to the one on Double's body that connects the Soul Side (ソウルサイド, Sōru Saido) (right half) to the Body Side (ボディサイド, Bodi Saido) (left half), allowing integrated control of the left and right sides' abilities.
  • Double Feeler (ダブルフィーラー, Daburu Fīrā): The goggles. The letter W shaped sense of touch is the most hypersensitive sensory organ on Double's body.
  • Terminal Eye (ターミナルアイ, Tāminaru Ai): The crystal organ located in the center of the forehead is also Double's third, and its superior sensory function enables it to quickly detect enemy movements. It is also the terminal that connects Shotaro and Philip's mental communication.
  • Hawk Finder (ホークファインダー, Hōku Faindā): The compound eyes consisting of 12 ultra-thinly laminated lens elements provide an ultra-wide-angle field of view of 240 degrees in front. Its visual acuity is approximately 4.0 in the common Landolt ring measurement - almost as good as a hawk. Depending on the combination of the halves, that number can increase dramatically, with the most visually astute LunaTrigger having a vision of about 8.0 indeed.
  • Gaia Sonar (ガイアソナー, Gaia Sonā): The ears have built-in super-hearing organs that, which at maximum output, can even hear the sound of a falling needle 10 kilometers away.
  • Wolf Nose (ウルフノーズ, Urufu Nōzu): The sense of smell amplified by the Gaia Memory is approximately one million times that of a normal human. It is comparable to a dog's sense of smell. This organ is located on the black line in the center of the head's "Central Partition".
  • Double Regulator (ダブルレギュレーター, Daburu Regyurētā): It has a filtration function that makes it possible to break down deadly poisons and bring in clean air. The purified oxygen taken in is instantly taken into the Converter Lungs in the chest and accumulated in large quantities.
• Flexhield (フレキシールド, Furekishīrudo): The bellows-shaped shield protects the neck area of Double, protecting the main joints with high strength without compromising the range of motion. The shoulders, elbows, and knees of the body are also made up of similar parts.
• Central Partition (セントラルパーテーション, Sentoraru Pātēshon): The silver band in the center of the body connects the Soul Side (ソウルサイド, Sōru Saido) (right half) to the Body Side (ボディサイド, Bodi Saido) (left half), and is an organ for integrated control of the left and right abilities, and also serves to distribute the Gaia Force (ガイアフォース, Gaia Fōsu) flowing from the Doubledriver throughout the body.
• Windy Stabilizer (ウィンディスタビライザー, Windi Sutabiraizā): The muffler-like wings, which are present only on the Cyclone side, become stabilizing wings that can control its posture freely when falling in the air, such as when executing a special kick.
• Gaiarmor (ガイアーマー, Gaiāmā): The whole body. Double's reinforced skin is Shotaro's body changed by the power of Gaia Memory. It has both strength and flexibility that theoretically cannot be penetrated by even a .50 caliber magnum bullet. The slits carved all over the body are organs called Flexlits (フレックスリット, Furekku Suritto), and they are used to increase the stability of the body by discharging the excess power taken from the Gaia Memory to the outside.
• Cyclone Lung (サイクロンラング, Saikuron Rangu): Like the Joker Lung, it is a reinforced exoskeleton part that contains a "Converter Lung". The surface is equipped with an air intake called "Windy Holes" (ウィンディホール, Windi Hōru), which can generate intense wind force by forcing in ambient air and multiplying it with the Cyclone Memory's power.
• Joker Lung (ジョーカーラング, Jōkā Rangu): A reinforced exoskeleton part that houses a "Converter Lung", an organ that enhances and controls cardiopulmonary functions on Joker's side to the utmost limit. The built-in Converter Lung generates a lung capacity several dozen times that of a normal person, and the stored oxygen allows it to function for up to 12 hours even in oxygen-free conditions such as underwater or in a vacuum. The surface is engraved with the "Joker Crest" (ジョーカークレスト, Jōkā Kuresuto) which manages athletic performance.
• Hammer Shoulder (ハンマーショルダー, Hanmā Shorudā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts that protects Double's shoulders. It has extremely high hardness and can be effectively used as a striking weapon by performing a shoulder tackle.
• Muscle Defender (マッスルディフェンダー, Massuru Difendā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts on the abdominal muscles. Inside, there is muscle tissue that has been strengthened to the utmost limit by Gaia Memory. The reinforced exoskeleton parts such as the Hammer Shoulder and Cyclone Lung are the strongest parts of Double's body, and theoretically cannot be damaged even if they are hit by a rocket launcher.
• Cyclone Brace (サイクロンブレス, Saikuron Buresu): Cyclone Memory's power is amplified around the arm, giving them the power to control the wind and powerful arm strength.
• Cyclone Knuckle (サイクロンナックル, Saikuron Nakkuru): Its hardness is almost equal to that of Joker's side. Using the power of wind amplified by the Cyclone Brace, it can swing down a knifehand strike to generate a shockwave of sharp air that can cut enemies in two.
• Joker Brace (ジョーカーブレス, Jōkā Buresu): Joker Memory's power is strengthened and amplified around the arm to obtain powerful arm strength.
• Joker Knuckle (ジョーカーナックル, Jōkā Nakkuru): A gauntlet has the same hardness as a reinforced exoskeleton parts of the Joker Lung, and is a powerful shield that does not accept even the slightest gunfire. And at the same time, the punches from this fist, reinforced by the brace, produce a punching power that far surpasses that of world-class boxers.
• Knee Hammer Shield (ニーハンマーシールド, Nī Hanmā Shīrudo): A type of reinforced exoskeleton that protects the knees of the legs. It can also be used as a powerful striking weapon, using its strong hardness to deliver knee strikes.
• Cyclone Anklet (サイクロンアンクレット, Saikuron Ankuretto): It amplifies Cyclone Memory's power and increases leg strength to the utmost limit. When the Maximum Drive is activated, the power is further amplified and concentrated to deliver a powerful kick. The "Windy Holes" are implemented to further enhance Cyclone Memory's power by taking in air, and also have the ability to prevent self-destruction due to the recoil.
• Joker Anklet (ジョーカーアンクレット, Jōkā Ankuretto): It amplifies Joker Memory's power and increases leg strength to the utmost limit. When the Maximum Drive is activated, the power is further amplified and concentrated, and a powerful kick can be unleashed. It is controlled by the Joker Crest and also has the ability to prevent self-destruction due to the recoil that bounces back at itself.

This form has four finishers:

• Joker Extreme (ジョーカーエクストリーム, Jōkā Ekustorīmu): After inserting the Joker Memory in the Maximum Slot, Double's body splits down the middle as the halves descend on their target. A variation of this attack involves Double jumping off the back wheel of Kamen Rider Accel BikeForm, allowing for faster acceleration upon descent.
• Cyclone Maximum Drive:

CycloneMetal (サイクロンメタル, Saikuron Metaru) is Double's green and silver-colored Half Change accessed by using the Cyclone and Metal Memories, hence known as the Windy Warrior (疾風の闘士, Shippū no toushi). In this form, Double can wield the Metalshaft by means of the Metal Memory's powers. When swung, the Metalshaft creates blades of wind by means of the Cyclone Memory. CycloneMetal's weight is 5 kg lighter than HeatMetal, although its punching power is weaker, it's shown to have a greater jumping height.

CycloneTrigger (サイクロントリガー, Saikuron Torigā) is a green and blue-colored Half Change accessed through the Cyclone and Trigger Memories. Hence known as the Fast Skilled Sniper (疾風の狙撃手, Shippū no Sogekishu). In this form, Double wields the Triggermagnum by means of the Trigger Memory's powers and is able to shoot out high compressed air by means of the Cyclone Memory. CycloneTrigger's gunshots have a wider range, but it has a nimbler precision than LunaTrigger.

This form has two finishers:

• Trigger Aerobuster (トリガーエアロバスター, Torigā Earobasutā): After inserting the Cyclone Memory in the Triggermagnum, Double fires multiple shots of pressurized air at the enemy.
• Trigger Storm Bomb (トリガーストームボム, Torigā Sutōmu Bomu): After inserting the Trigger Memory in the Triggermagnum, Double shoots the ground and it erupts into a twister, hitting enemies in the air above.

HeatJoker (ヒートジョーカー, Hīto Jōkā) is the first Half Change form used by Double when he appears in All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker. It is colored red and black form accessed from the Heat and Joker Memories, hence known as the Hot Skilled Warrior (熱き切り札, Atsuki kirifuda). In this form, Double can throw flaming punches by means of the Heat Memory's powers.

HeatJoker shows an increase in punching and kicking powers, but it has a slightly slower running speed and very weak jumping height than CycloneJoker.

This form's finisher is the Joker Grenade (ジョーカーグレネード, Jōkā Gurenēdo): After inserting the Joker Memory in the Maximum Slot, Double somersaults in mid-air, then Double's body splits down the middle during descent as the halves each hit the target with elementally energized hooks.

Futo Tantei introduces a second finisher Joker Back Draft (ジョーカーバックドラフト, Jōkā bakkudorafuto): After inserting the Heat Memory in the Maximum Slot, Double delivers a straight punch to the target with an elementally energized fist.

HeatMetal (ヒートメタル, Hīto Metaru) is the second true form used by Double, first appearing in All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker. It is colored red and silver and is accessed from the Heat and Metal Memories, hence known as the Blazing Warrior (熱き闘士, atsuki toushi). In this form, the damage from the Metalshaft is increased by fire.

A common tactic used by Double is to turn around while changing to this form, using the Metalshaft on his back to block enemy attacks before counterattacking. HeatMetal is considered to be the strongest, but also the slowest of the 9 forms, due to its running speed and weight and it's jumping height is weaker than the other 2 Metal forms.

The V-shaped portion on the surface is a heat source amplifier called the "Burning Chamber" (バーニングチャンバー, Bāningu Chanbā), which functions to amplify and regulate the thermal energy of the heat to the limits of what the body can withstand.
• Metal Lung (メタルラング, Metaru Rangu): A type of reinforced exoskeleton that houses a "Converter Lung", an organ that maximizes and controls cardiopulmonary functions on Metal's side. Its basic function is the same as the other five halves, but this half, enhanced by the Metal Memory, is approximately five times stronger than the other halves.
• Shaft Mount (シャフトマウント, Shafuto Maunto): The mount to secure the Metalshaft on the back of Metal's side. It functions only according to Double's will, and no third party can forcibly remove it from there. Through this mount, it also has the role of absorbing energy from Metal and the Soul Side and filling the shaft with power.
• Hammer Shoulder (ハンマーショルダー, Hanmā Shorudā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts that protects Double's shoulders. It has extremely high hardness and can be effectively used as a striking weapon by performing a shoulder tackle.
• Muscle Defender (マッスルディフェンダー, Massuru Difendā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts on the abdominal muscles. • Heat Knuckle (ヒートナックル, Hīto Nakkuru): While having the hardness and strength amplified by the Metal side, it can further manipulate heat at will with Heat's power.
• Metal Brace (メタルブレス, Metaru Buresu): The Metal Memory's power is strengthened and amplified around the arm, giving the greatest arm strength of the six halves of the body. Like the Metal Lung, hammer rivets are driven into the surface to further increase the rigidity of Metal's body.
• Metal Knuckle (メタルナックル, Metaru Nakkuru): The steel gauntlet with the same rigidity as the Metal Lung and Metal Brace. The enhanced punching power is so intense that it can punch through a 70 cm thick steel plate and crush a 5 cm diameter steel ball like paper with its fingertips.
• Knee Hammer Shield (ニーハンマーシールド, Nī Hanmā Shīrudo): A type of reinforced exoskeleton that protects the knees of the legs. It can also be used as a powerful striking weapon, using its strong hardness to deliver knee strikes.
• Heat Anklet (ヒートアンクレット, Hīto Ankuretto): It amplifies Heat Memory's power and increases leg strength to the utmost limit. The built-in Burning Chamber allows for amplification and adjustment of thermal energy obtained from Heat. In addition, the power of the intense heat obtained from the Heat Anklet allows him to release kicks that carry high heat. It has enough destructive power to cut a passenger car class vehicle while melting it, just like cutting paper.

In this form, Double has the ability to stretch his right limbs by means of the Luna Memory's powers. LunaJoker is shown to be the weakest out of the other 2 Joker forms, but it has a faster running speed than CycloneJoker.

LunaTrigger (ルナトリガー, Runa Torigā) is a form that first appears in the television series. It is a yellow and blue form accessed with the Luna Memory and the Trigger Memory hence known as the Homing Skilled Sniper (幻想の銃撃手, gensou no juugekishu). In this form, Double's Triggermagnum is able to fire gold and blue bolts that can curve and track targets. LunaTrigger is mostly well-suited for marksmanship, but its shots are slower than the other 2 Trigger forms.

LunaTrigger consists of the following parts:[18]

• Double Mask (ダブルマスク, Daburu Masuku): The head. It controls all of Kamen Rider Double's central nervous systems. The basic functions and names of the masks are the same for all nine styles. However, some functions may be increased or decreased depending on its form, such as improved eyesight in the case of the LunaTrigger, which is specialized for shooting.
  • Gaia Shell (ガイアシェル, Gaiasheru): It has the same strength as the exoskeleton part of the body, and by layering it in multiple layers, it is the strongest part of Double's body.
  • Central Partition (セントラルパーテーション, Sentoraru Pātēshon): It is an organ similar to the one on Double's body that connects the Soul Side (ソウルサイド, Sōru Saido) (right half) to the Body Side (ボディサイド, Bodi Saido) (left half), allowing integrated control of the left and right sides' abilities.
  • Double Feeler (ダブルフィーラー, Daburu Fīrā): The goggles. The letter W shaped sense of touch is the most hypersensitive sensory organ on Double's body.
  • Terminal Eye (ターミナルアイ, Tāminaru Ai): The crystal organ located in the center of the forehead is also Double's third, and its superior sensory function enables it to quickly detect enemy movements. It is also the terminal that connects Shotaro and Philip's mental communication.
  • Hawk Finder (ホークファインダー, Hōku Faindā): Due to the effect of Trigger Memory, his eyesight has improved significantly compared to other forms. Its visual acuity is approximately 8.0 for both eyes in the common Landolt ring measurement. Combined with the performance of the Triggermagnum, it enables precision shooting from extremely long distances.

  • Double Regulator (ダブルレギュレーター, Daburu Regyurētā): It has a filtration function that makes it possible to break down deadly poisons and bring in clean air. The purified oxygen taken in is instantly taken into the Converter Lungs in the chest and accumulated in large quantities.
• Flexhield (フレキシールド, Furekishīrudo): The bellows-shaped shield protects the neck area of Double, protecting the main joints with high strength without compromising the range of motion. The shoulders, elbows, and knees of the body are also made up of similar parts.
• Central Partition (セントラルパーテーション, Sentoraru Pātēshon): The silver band in the center of the body connects the Soul Side (ソウルサイド, Sōru Saido) (right half) to the Body Side (ボディサイド, Bodi Saido) (left half), and is an organ for integrated control of the left and right abilities, and also serves to distribute the Gaia Force (ガイアフォース, Gaia Fōsu) flowing from the Doubledriver throughout the body.
• Gaiarmor (ガイアーマー, Gaiāmā): The whole body. Double's reinforced skin is Shotaro's body changed by the power of Gaia Memory. It has both strength and flexibility that theoretically cannot be penetrated by even a .50 caliber magnum bullet. The slits carved all over the body are organs called Flexlits (フレックスリット, Furekku Suritto), and they are used to increase the stability of the body by discharging the excess power taken from the Gaia Memory to the outside.
• Luna Lung (ルナラング, Runa Rangu): A reinforced exoskeleton part that houses a "Converter Lung", an organ that enhances and controls cardiopulmonary functions, and the surface is covered with Amazing Stones (アメイジングストーン, Ameijingu Sutōn). It is also responsible for suppressing and stabilizing the rampage caused by Luna's supernatural powers.
• Trigger Lung (トリガーラング, Torigā Rangu): A reinforced exoskeleton part that houses a "Converter Lung", an organ that enhances and controls cardiopulmonary functions on the Trigger's side to the utmost limit. The V-shaped portion on the surface, "Energy Reloader" (エナジーリローダー, Enajī Rirōdā), is responsible for charging the energy of the Trigger Memory, which is the source of energy bullets when the Triggermagnum is attached to the Magne Holster. It also serves as the front armor and is one of the hardest parts of the entire body.
  • Magne Holster (マグネホルスター, Nagune Horusutā): A biomagnetic point to securely attach the Triggermagnum when transforming into a form using the Trigger side. It can be attached and detached only at Double's will. Its benefits are great, as it can be instantly put on and taken off during intense combat, allowing the user to immediately move on to the next action.
• Hammer Shoulder (ハンマーショルダー, Hanmā Shorudā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts that protects Double's shoulders. It has extremely high hardness and can be effectively used as a striking weapon by performing a shoulder tackle.
• Muscle Defender (マッスルディフェンダー, Massuru Difendā): The reinforced exoskeleton parts on the abdominal muscles. Inside, there is muscle tissue that has been strengthened to the utmost limit by Gaia Memory. The reinforced exoskeleton parts such as the Hammer Shoulder and Cyclone Lung are the strongest parts of Double's body, and theoretically cannot be damaged even if they are hit by a rocket launcher.
• Amazing Arm (アメイジングアーム, Ameijingu Āmu): The arm that can flexibly change, such as expanding, contracting, etc., with Luna's power. The energy projectile of the Triggermagnum, which originally only has a straight trajectory, can be bent freely according to Double's will. The combination of Luna and Trigger allows for a 360-degree all-range attack.
• Luna Brace (ルナブレス, Runa Buresu): It amplifies the Luna Memory's power around the arm to activate supernatural power. The surface is covered with "Amazing Stones" that amplifies the Luna's power, instantly amplifying the power gained from the Gaia Memory.
• Luna Knuckle (ルナナックル, Runa Nakkuru): A fist that can be freely changed by the Luna Memory's power.
• Trigger Brace (トリガーブレス, Torigā Buresu): The Trigger Memory's power is strengthened and amplified around the arm, enabling 100 shots out of 100 precision shooting.
• Trigger Knuckle (トリガーナックル, Torigā Nakkuru): A gauntlet with the same hardness as a Trigger Lung, and has the hardness to repel bullets.
• Knee Hammer Shield (ニーハンマーシールド, Nī Hanmā Shīrudo): A type of reinforced exoskeleton that protects the knees of the legs. It can also be used as a powerful striking weapon, using its strong hardness to deliver knee strikes.
• Luna Anklet (ルナアンクレット, Runa Ankuretto): It amplifies the Luna Memory's power and increases leg strength to the utmost limit. Implementing the Amazing Stones allows for flexible changes such as expansion, contraction, and enlargement.
• Trigger Anklet (トリガーアンクレット, Torigā Ankuretto): It amplifies the Trigger Memory's power and increases leg strength to the utmost limit. When firing high-power shots, it also forms a magnetic field around the feet to ensure that the ballistic trajectory does not deviate.

This form's finisher is the Trigger Full Burst (トリガーフルバースト, Torigā Furu Bāsuto): After inserting the Trigger Memory in the Triggermagnum, Double fires multiple charged homing shots at the enemy.

As the Fang Memory was designed for Philip, his and Shotaro's roles as Double are reversed, with Shotaro's consciousness transferred into Philip's body for the transformation, Double's left eye flashes whenever Shotaro speaks. As each form is considered to be faster and stronger than the other forms that came before it, the transformation takes an extreme tax on Philip's weak body, thus cannot be used for long periods of time.

FangJoker (ファングジョーカー, Fangu Jōkā) is a white and black form accessed with the Fang Memory and the Joker Memory. It is the form Double used to escape Philip's captors during the events of the Begins Night as seen in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie War 2010. This form is described as the Wild Skilled Warrior (荒れ狂う牙の戦士, arekuruu kiba no senshi), which is decsribed from the first two uses where he loses control of himself due to Fang's animal insticts.

By activating the Fang Memory's horn between one and three times, FangJoker is able to summon a bladed weapon that forms on various portions of FangJoker's body. One time summons the Arm Saber (アームセイバー, Āmu Seibā) on FangJoker's wrist to be used as a close combat weapon; two times summons the Shoulder Saber (ショルダーセイバー, Shorudā Seibā), which can be removed from FangJoker's right shoulder to be used as a dagger or boomerang-like weapon; three times summons the Maximum Saber (マキシマムセイバー, Makishimamu Seibā) on FangJoker's right ankle.

This form's finisher is the Fang Strizer (ファングストライザー, Fangu Sutoraizā): A flying roundhouse kick with the Maximum Saber in which a projection of the Fang Memory's head is shown "biting" the opponent when Double comes in contact while forming a projection of the English Letter F. This can be used in combination with Kamen Rider Accel's Accel Glanzer to perform the Rider Twin Maximum (ライダーツインマキシマム, Raidā Tsuin Makishimamu).

FangMetal (ファングメタル, Fangu Metaru) is a white and metallic-grey form accessed with the Fang Memory and the Metal Memory, exclusive to the Futo Tantei manga. In this form, the Metalshaft is unusable but instead the Metal Memory's powers enhances Double's entire body giving it significant boost in armor and power, especially when Double activates the Shoulder Fang. Its unique feature is Double's whole body are covered sideways with saber fangs from shoulder to arm are coated in metallic coating with the Metal attribute, in which Double cannot use the Shoulder Saber weapons as they are rigidly fixed to his body. Thus Double's fighting style lies in close-quarters combat and using its armored sabers to land rough consecutive strikes and slashes.

Like the other Metal forms, its combat parameters lie in both offense and defense with reduced running speed and increased weight as the only drawback, but compensated with Fang's ferocious attribute and Metal's sturdiness being able to reflect any attack. This form is considered to be the strongest, but also the slowest of the 9 forms, due to its running speed and weight and it's jumping height is weaker than the other 2 Metal forms.

This form's finisher is the Fang Spear Bullet (ファングスピアバレット, Fangu Supia Baretto): a corkscrew tackle in which Double hurls the opponent into the air before delivering a spiralling charge towards the enemy. FangTrigger (ファングトリガー, Fangu Torigā) is a white and blue form accessed with the Fang Memory and the Trigger Memory, exclusive to the Futo Tantei manga. In this form, the Triggermagnum is unusable but instead the Trigger Memory's powers is transferred to Double's left wrist where the Arm Saber functions are formed to generate a bow.

Like the other Trigger forms, its specializes in long-ranged combat and marksmanship. The sabers on its fist can form a tiger-claw weapon where they can be fired as rapid long-range projectiles called Fist Needles (フィストニードル, Fist Needles), that can paralyze the opponent. In addition, the needles are coated with the same organic material as Double's bioarmor, they can home onto the opponent while transmitting through inorganic substances.

This form's finisher is the Fang Screwdle (ファングスクリュードル, Fangu Sukuryūdoru): A charged energy arrow is fired with the tip dinosaur-shaped in Doubledriver format. When fired, the arrow fires at a fast and spiralling pace where the dinosaur tip crunches the opponent upon impact, before sending the enemy flying and exploding.

CycloneJokerXtreme (サイクロンジョーカーエクストリーム, Saikuron Jōkā Ekustorīmu) is the first evolved form of CycloneJoker accessed with the Xtreme Memory, linking it directly to the infinite knowledge of the true Gaia Memory through the iridescent band going down the middle of Kamen Rider Double's body called the Crystal Server (クリスタルサーバー, Kurisutaru Sābā). It is also known as the Evolved Perfect Warrior (究極のW, kyuukyoku no daburu), as it also represents the perfect union between Shotaro and Philip. The sheer knowledge of this form wields allows Double to instantly analyze the opponent's capabilities. While not as physically strong as FangJoker, this Form seems to have better defenses as it easily withstood the Weather Dopant`s attacks without using the Prismbicker.

During the transformation, the middle of Double begins to glow as the Xtreme Memory absorbs the Cyclone and Joker Memories and attaches itself onto the Doubledriver. The Xtreme Memory opens up revealing a spinning X as Double rips open the center revealing the prism-colored center.

Unlike the other forms of Double, where Shotaro or Philip provide the body for their Rider Form, the Xtreme Memory absorbs Philip's body and fuses it with Shotaro's body in their Rider Form becoming one in body, mind and soul. Thus when either Philip or Shotaro speaks on their own, their respective side's eye flashes, and why they also appear together as soon as they break the transformation.

By gathering energy into his fists from either halves Double can throw powerful punches at the opponent.

In this form, Double wields the Prismbicker which has its own Maximum Drives. Unlike the other forms of Double, CycloneJokerXtreme's motif also includes the letter X.

    * Bicker Finalusion (ビッカーファイナリュージョン, Bikkā Fainaryūjon): Double combines the power of the Prismbicker and the 4 Gaia Memories and delivers a powerful laser blast. CycloneJokerGoldXtreme (サイクロンジョーカーゴールドエクストリーム, Saikuron Jōkā Gōrudo Ekusutorīmu) is the second evolved form of CycloneJokerXtreme. This form is achieved when intense wind blows against Double and into the Xtreme Memory, and activates its full potential.

In this form, the Crystal Server turns golden, with a set of insect wings that flurishes out of Double's back, allowing Double to fly. Double uses this form again in Movie War Core to finish off Kamen Rider Core with Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo.

This form's Memory Break finisher is the Golden Xtreme (ゴールデンエクストリーム, Gōruden Ekusutorīmu): Double performs a flying, golden version of the Double Xtreme kick.

CycloneAccelXtreme (サイクロンアクセルエクストリーム, Saikuron Akuseru Ekusutorīmu) is a form of Kamen Rider Double described by Shroud as being the ultimate form, with the change being that Ryu Terui becomes one with Philip instead of Shotaro, as their physiologies make them immune to the psychological attacks of the Old and Terror Dopants. Shroud states that Ryu's hatred and rage is needed for Double to fight at its full potential. However this form was never utilized in the series as Ryu decides not to fight as part of this form while showing Shroud that they can fight with compassion rather than hatred.

These two forms are gained after Kamen Rider Decade uses the Final Form Ride card, Kamen Rider W to separate Double's halves where they are controlled by the minds and bodies they originated from (CycloneCyclone is controlled by Philip and JokerJoker is controlled by Shotaro).

An interesting note the Doubledriver on both bodies has two of the same Gaia Memories used in CycloneJoker and CycloneCyclone has two scarves hanging from his neck.

When Decade uses the Final Attack Ride Card, CycloneCyclone, JokerJoker, and Decade perform the three-way Triple Extreme (トリプルエクストリーム, Toripuru Ekusutorīmu) attack, where both Doubles use their traditional Drop Kicks while Decade uses his traditional Flying Side Kick.

• Double can also be spelled as Kamen Rider W (仮面ライダーW, Kamen Raidā Daburu). Kust like the series entry, "W" is solely a slang abbreviation for "Double".
• Kamen Rider Double is the first Rider to cameo in a preceding Rider's Summer movie.
• According to producer Hideaki Tsukada, the design for Double CycloneJoker was inspired on Kamen Riders 1 and Black.[26]
  • During the pre-production of W, since green had never been used as a primary color in the Heisei Rider series, the suit designers initally recommended Double to be a combination of red and black instead. Those color schemes would be used later for Double HeatJoker.

• According to the producers, Double was originally going to wear a trench-coat in his transformed state, but it was decided not to include it.
  • The trench-coat theme would later be included into Kamen Rider Revi's Eagle Genome, a form based off of Kamen Rider Double.
• During the planning stages, Yasuko Kobayashi originally opposed adding a scarf to the costume, as she stated that was too "Showa Rider-y" and modern kids wouldn't like it because to them it would be "unsightly". She eventually allowed it under the condition that the scarf be a different material and silver instead of white.
• CycloneAccelXtreme and CycloneJokerGoldXtreme were never created as physical costumes, instead being digital alterations of the base CycloneJokerXtreme costume. CycloneAccelXtreme appears as a hidden character in Climax Heroes OOO, where he wields the Engineblade and Prismbicker (with the Bicker Sword sheathed).
  • Additionally, while the suit for CycloneJokerGoldXtreme seen onscreen has the kneepads colored silver, several merchandise and other media would depict the kneepads as being gold instead, with only a small minority of other non-screen appearances using the silver kneepads.
• According to the Double novel, while the FangMetal and FangTrigger forms could potentially be used, doing so would be disastrous. Shotaro's compatibility with the Joker Memory lets him keep Fang's berserker nature in check; since he lacks such compatibility with the Metal and Trigger Memories, FangMetal and FangTrigger would be uncontrollable.
  • Both FangMetal and FangTrigger would eventually appear in Futo Tantei with the explanation that Shotaro's use of the Xtreme Memory made it possible; however, the compatibility issue remains, meaning that they can only be used for short periods of time.
• Kamen Rider Double is the only Heisei Era Phase 2 Rider to have a Final Form Ride card.
• When Double becomes FangJoker, the trademark line's finger point is on the right hand as opposed to the usual left hand, due to Philip being the host rather than Shotaro.
• Although Shroud stated that Double's full potential comes from hatred, this is revealed to be false as Shotaro and Philip have shown when they transformed into CycloneJokerGoldXtreme through wind blowing into the Xtreme Memory and hope from the citizens of Futo.
• The transformation pose for Double has Shotaro and Philip forming the letter W when their arms were across from their body.
• A split screen would occur when Shotaro and Philip transform into Double if they are on different location. However if appearing at the same spot, the split screen would not occur.
• According to an interview with suit actor Seiji Takaiwa, he expressed the difference of portraying the left and right personalities of Double. Takaiwa performs Shotaro's side more independently while maintaining the Philip's side as minimal as possible.[27]
