Wideband spectrum sensing is performed by developed by employing multiple low-rate sampler in a M... more Wideband spectrum sensing is performed by developed by employing multiple low-rate sampler in a Multirate asynchronous sub-Nyquist sampling (MASS) system. Due to the low sampling rate, this approach is best suited for cognitive radio networks. Robustness during time synchronization issues, energy efficient data sensing and low complexity implementation are the key advantages of MASS. In synchronous and asynchronous samplers, implementation of spectrum sensing can be performed with recovery performance for energy detection. The performance of spectrum sensing can be improved by increasing the sampling branches. MASS utilizes sub-Nyquist sampling. Disadvantages of Nyquist sampling are High sampling rate, high energy cost, high implementation complexity, so sub-Nyquist sampling will be considered. Advantages of sub Nyquist sampling are low sampling rate, probability of overlapping of signal is less, low signal acquisition cost. Parameters like log-normal fading channels, Rayleigh fading, fading conditions for additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), SNR levels, at different levels of sparsity, the detection probability vs possibility of false alarm are used for measurement of performance. In future MASS is combined with OFDM, to be called as multi carrier MASS and performance measures are evaluated. The paper presents sufficient conditions to uniquely recover the full spectrum by using compressive sensing theory.

The capacity of load in metal beam depends on the metal and applications. The measurement of strain on the beam is difficult using conventional method. In recent years, strain gauge is used to measure the strain on mild steel beams. It is a sensor whose resistance values are changed with respect to the applied load. The change in resistance is small in magnitude which its effect can be sensed by a wheatstone bridge. It is directly proportional to the applied strain. The different process parameters and its effects are studied through optimization and variance analysis.

Due to the drastic increase in the number of cases reported, it is clear that lockdown is most helpful to stop the spread of the disease. Our research focusses on the protective measures to be taken to safeguard against the coronavirus, positive and negative impacts of lockdown in the education of children and its management measures. All the data for our study are taken from the websites of WHO, Centers of Disease Control & Prevention, US Food & Drug Administration, National Air Quality Index of India, NASA and ISRO. In order to maximize the electrical energy, the solar panels have to be positioned perpendicular to the sun to convert solar energy to electrical energy. This solar tracking system consists of Light Dependent Resistor (LDRs), microcontroller, gear motor system and a solar panel. The tracking is done based on two parameters: maximum intensity of sunlight and maximum power generated with the help of data obtained from the sensors, using ATMEGA2560 microcontroller.

Simultaneously, vehicle pollution is also drastically increased. Due to improper maintenance and monitoring, the performances of the vehicles have been decreased. The different types of system and methods are available to detect the vehicle performance and pollution control. This paper is presented and provides an idea about pollution and vehicle control based on Internet of Things (IoT). The sensors, communication network, micro controller and server have been used for vehicle performance and their pollution control. The different vehicle parameters are monitored through IoT based system. The pollution experimental trail is conducted and compared with and without internet of things. The experimental investigations and their comparison have been reported with and without IoT system.
In this paper,we propose and demonstrate the design of a Pulse Oximeter using MSP430FG439 Microco... more In this paper,we propose and demonstrate the design of a Pulse Oximeter using MSP430FG439 Microcontroller.The Oxygen Saturation and Heart Rate are the two important key parameters for health monitoring of a patients.The proposed system consists of spo2 Sensor,MSP430FG439 Pulse Oximeter board With LCD Display,PC.The oxygen saturation is calculated by measuring the ratio between the intensities of two different lights.The heart rate is calculated by measuring the elapsed time between the peaks of IR signal.The measured parameters are then transferred to a PC via Zigbee Module and displayed on lcd. Though the communication through speech is the origin for communication, other body expressions such hand movement and facial expressions also help to communicate our thoughts to others. The main aim of this research is as follows; The main objective of image compression is to reduce the size of data i.e used to represent a digital media in an efficient manner without causing major degradation to the quality of the image. To increase the efficiency and performance of digital data, image compression is used in various fields like security industries, federal government agencies and health industries. The reduced size may facilitate the quick transfer of the data over the communication channels. There are two types of compression methods. One is lossy and second is lossless compression. In lossless compression, no information is lost that is reduces bits by finding and eliminating redundancy. Lossy compression technique reduces size of data by finding non-essential information and destroys it. Therefore, the process of decreasing the size of data file is termed as data compression.

The intravenous anaesthetics are widely used to provide rapid onset, stable maintenance, and rapid recovery compared with inhaled anaesthetics. The aim of the project is to investigate a reliable and safe methodology for delivering total intravenous anaesthesia using closed loop control technology and bispectral analysis of human electroencephalogram (EEG) waveform. In this work a Bispectral Index (BIS), derived from power spectral and bispectral analysis on EEG waveform, is used to measure the depth of anaesthesia.. In comparison with conventional method, drug effect is measured during drug infusion in closed loop anaesthesia. This may provide superior safety, better patient care, better quality of anaesthesia. Main advantage of this method is to make recurrent and minor alterations to anaesthetic drug. A model based controller is used to control the drug infusion rate. The performance of the model based controller is compared with the PID controller. The results show that the model based controller gives better performance than others controllers and it reduces rise time, settling time and peak time.

But these controllers have so many limitations. These controllers provide better performance only at a particular operating range. The specific control problems associated with the plant operations severely limit the performance of conventional controllers. The increasing complexity of plant operations together with tougher environmental regulations, rigorous safety codes and rapidly changing economic situation demand the need for more sophisticated process controllers. Model predictive controller (MPC) is an important branch in automated control theory. MPC refers to a class of control algorithm in which a process model is used to predict and optimize the process performance. In this project temperature in pasteurization process is controlled using model predictive controller. It show a good performance in keeping both the milk and water temperatures at the desired set points without any oscillation and overshoot.

This paper proposes the use of robot to extinguish the fire in its beginning stage of a small flame itself by continuously monitoring the area therefore the fire accidents will be reduced. It is also used to help fire fighters in extinguishing fire in narrow areas and also in hazardous situation so it would reduce the risk of fire fighters in the process of saving victims life. This robot is developed to extinguish the fire in its beginning stage itself.

This paper reviews the different types as well as technological enhancements of vibration sensors with a special emphasis on cantilever beam vibrations. The vibration analysis of cantilever beams have been widely used for crack/damage detection, modulus of elasticity determination and effective vibration control. Currently existing active and passive control schemes of cantilever beams are also discussed in the paper.

Background. A stapedectomy or stapedotomy is known as the best treatment option for patients with... more Background. A stapedectomy or stapedotomy is known as the best treatment option for patients with otosclerosis. Otosclerosis is a primary disease of the bony labyrinth capsule, which is characterized by one or more localized foci, where bone deposition occurs repeatedly. The best and most effective treatment option is a stapedectomy or stapedotomy. Objectives. The present study evaluated the short-term hearing results in patients with otosclerosis after primary stapes surgery. Material and methods. in this retrospective study, the short-term hearing results of all patients with otosclerosis after a primary stapedotomy admitted to the Ahvaz Emam hospital from 2007 to 2017 was evaluated. improvement in hearing was evaluated according to the pre-and post-audiometry results. Air conduction (Ac), Bone conduction (Bc) and Air-Bone Gap (ABG) thresholds were recorded at 500, 1 000, 2 000 and 4 000 Hz. SPSS software (Version 22.0) was used for statistical analysis. Results. Of the 413 cases, 231 (55.93%) and 182 (44.07%) were females and males, respectively. The mean age of patients was 39.06 ± 11.29 years. The disease in 131 (31.72%) was bilateral. The mean ABG in 341 patients (82.63%) ≤ 10 dB and in 52 patients (12.47%) was 10-20 dB. Conclusions. The results of the study showed that a primary stapedotomy is a successful and effective way to improve short-term hearing results in adults with otosclerosis.

The sand properties such as permeability, cohesiveness, adhesiveness and flow ability were affected by moisture. The moisture content test was the important role to decide the quality of the sand before processing it for any applications. Infrared (IR) light source was used to found the moisture level of sand. For these experimental investigations, silica sand was used for testing purpose. Weight loss of evaporation concept was used to found the moisture content test. It was found through the change of input factors such as infrared light power, Standoff Distance (SOD) and temperature of the heating chamber. The parametric effect was studied through regression model and variance analysis. Taguchi optimization was used to provide optimal solutions.

This paper proposes a Two-Stage Deep Iterative Down-Up Convolutional Neural Network for denoising... more This paper proposes a Two-Stage Deep Iterative Down-Up Convolutional Neural Network for denoising the medical images, which more often increase and decrease the feature map resolution. The function, Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) is employed in the proposed system to handle the problem of gradient vanishing. The SURF is a patented local feature detector and descriptor. Experiment is conducted using several different medical noise images like Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound Image and found that the proposed system outperforms the current state-of-the-art consistently in image denoising methodologies.

This paper proposes a Two-Stage Deep Iterative Down-Up Convolutional Neural Network for denoising... more This paper proposes a Two-Stage Deep Iterative Down-Up Convolutional Neural Network for denoising the medical images, which more often increase and decrease the feature map resolution. The function, Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) is employed in the proposed system to handle the problem of gradient vanishing. The SURF is a patented local feature detector and descriptor. Experiment is conducted using several different medical noise images like Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound Image and found that the proposed system outperforms the current state-of-the-art consistently in image denoising methodologies.
