Concerning the focus of this paper, the talent of Jane Austen is evident in the domain of literary linguistics. Reviewing the previous literature proves excessive scrutiny of the chief young couples, namely Elizabeth and Darcy. Given that, the present article sheds light on the conversations between the old couple in Pride and Prejudice; Mr. and Mrs. Bennet from a pragmatic perspective. The analysis focuses on the very first conversation between the couple as being representative of their relationship. This analysis employs two major pragmatic concepts: the various types of Austin's speech acts as defined by Cutting (2002) and Grice's maxims (1975). Of the thirty-one utterances analyzed in the targeted conversation, 20 are by Mrs. Bennet and 11 by Mr. Bennet. Mrs. Bennet's most fr...

For instance, oil rich countries, such as Syria and Sudan, have a lower life expectancy and school enrollment than poor-resources countries like Lebanon and Israel. This study thereby, investigates the crosscountry differences of poverty response to changes in natural resources wealth. The paper utilizes a panel data model for the period from 1985 to 2014 based on five-year intervals. The measurement of poverty consists of five different indicators, which are the human development index, three well-being indicators and poverty headcount. Results indicate that natural resources abundance does not directly impact the well-being of the people. The results are consistent with the growthresources literature that links natural resources abundance to slow economic growth. That is, the presence of natural resources within developing countries exacerbates the risk of political instability, corruption, and poor governance, which we further examine in the second model.

Methods-Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and Cointegration technique are applied by first examining the stationarity of the series by utilizing the Augmented-Dicky-Fuller (ADF) unit root test. The bound cointegration test is then implemented to evaluate the existence of cointegration among the variables. Findings-The results indicate that the GDP growth rate has a longrun positive relationship with remittance inflows in Egypt. This paper also finds that the average governance indicators in Egypt, which include government effectiveness, political stability, control of corruption and regulatory quality, voice and accountability, and the rule of law, could help facilitate the long-run effect of remittances on GDP growth. Implication-The findings imply that maintaining high levels of governance indicators is essential for helping Egypt benefit from remittances and enhancing its economic growth. Originality/value-The study is a pioneer in including the average governance indicators in the remittance-growth nexus study for Egypt. Its purpose is to assess whether governance quality affects the nexus and whether there exists a threshold for the average governance indicators below which the flow of remittances does not encourage economic growth.

The objective of this study is to investigate which variables have a significant effect on unemployment rate in gulf countries using a panel data technique. Four variables were employed to determine their relationship to unemployment rate. The result confirms that two variables play an essential role to determinant unemployment rate in the GCC countries. Government's expenditure as a percentage of GDP play an important role in decreasing unemployment rate since they have the power to shape policies. Governments in the GCC countries should create policies that encourage their citizens to get knowledge and enhance their ability through creating a social program to be ready working anywhere. Since the education is a part of government expenditure and most of GCC countries start concentrating in this factor because most of studies discover that there is a negative relationship between education and unemployment. Moreover, the estimated model provides that GDP per capita pl...

Moreover, the estimated model provides that GDP per capita plays an essential role to determine unemployment rate in GCC countries. Therefore, I can conclude that Okun's law is occur in the case of GCC countries. Also, in case of GCC countries Structural unemployment is occurred which caused by forces other than the business cycle. It occurs when an underlying shift in the economy makes it difficult for some groups to find jobs.

Therefore, the goal of this article is to investigate the impact of TO on the economic development of Saudi Arabia, focusing on how this nexus is affected by the country's control of corruption. The study employs the time series data from 2009 to 2022. Methods: This paper applies the ordinary least squares (OLS) and quantile regression Hierarchical moderated regression analysis to analyze the mechanism effect of control of corruption. The augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test is used to test whether a given time series is stationary or not for our interest variables. Results: The econometric analysis indicates that TO significantly impacts Saudi Arabia's economic development, plus the country's control of corruption also influences this effect. Conclusion: Saudi policymakers and politicians must improve the country's control of corruption, making it more capable of managing its resource wealth and exporting more goods, thereby stimulating its economic development.

This article uses information from two publicly held banks in two consecutive years (2018-2019) of annual reports in Saudi Arabia. It aims to apply several financial tools, namely horizontal, vertical, and ratio analysis, to analyze NCB and BSF.
