This paper aims to evaluate EEG as an application predictor of Holland test with career interest.... more This paper aims to evaluate EEG as an application predictor of Holland test with career interest. Consequently, it is essential to develop and analyze the brain wave of clinical changes of the EEG signals during Holland answering questions. The experimental test begins by answering Holland test with 34 participants of staff members at KAU (College of Computing and Information Technology and College of Engineering). Accordingly, the test is applied twice, one without using EEG and the second with EEG recording. The proposed solution uses 34 answering of participants of Holland career test dataset after getting the content data from the answering of Holland using the EEG and initial career assessment. Consequently, the Holland answering test (without EEG) is analyzed along with EEG analysis of the Holland answering in different frequency bands such as delta, theta, alpha and beta. Therefore, we aim to provide researchers, a methodology, if we could identify career interest using EEG signals or to determine the level of contribution of EEG signals would support identifying career types.

Even though the equivalent phonemic formation of the word, if it is properly called in different accents, humans do have audio signals that are distinct from one another. Among the most common issues with speech, the processing is discrepancies in pronunciation, accent, and enunciation. This research study examines the issues of detecting, fixing, and summarising accent defects of average Arabic individuals in English-speaking speech. The article then discusses the key approaches and structure that will be utilized to address both accent flaws and pronunciation issues. The proposed SpeakCorrect computerized interface employs a cuttingedge speech recognition system and analyses pronunciation errors with a speech decoder. As a result, some of the most essential types of changes in pronunciation that are significant for speech recognition are performed, and accent defects defining such differences are presented. Consequently, the suggested technique increases the Speaker's accuracy. SpeakCorrect uses 100 h of phonetically prepared individuals to construct a pronunciation instruction repository. These prerecorded sets are used to train Hidden Markov Models (HMM) as well as weighted graph systems. Their speeches are quite clear and might be considered natural. The proposed interface is optimized for use with an integrated phonetic pronounced dataset, as well as for analyzing and identifying speech faults in Saudi and Egyptian dialects. The proposed interface detects, analyses, and assists English learners in correcting utterance faults, overcoming problems, and improving their pronunciations.

When communicating in a foreign language or second language, accents from one’s first language are likely to emerge, giving an individual a ‘strange’ accent. This is a great and challenging problem. Not particularly, because it is a part of one’s personality that they do not have to give up. It is only challenging when pronunciation causes a disruption in communication between an individual and the individuals with whom they are speaking. Making oneself understandable is the goal of perfecting English pronunciations. Many people require their pronunciation to be perfect, such as those individuals working in the healthcare industry, where it is rather critical that each term be read precisely. Speak Correct offers each of its users a service that assists them with any English pronunciation concerns that may arise. Some of the pronunciation improvemen...

Our proposed approach depends on the features of the text lines and letters and doesn't need any especial equipment. Experimental results on a real mobile digital camera (Samsung Galaxy S2 with 8-MP sensor) captured images demonstrate 10~16 % enhancement in current commercial Arabic OCR packages.

The traditional approach for handwriting teaching is to have a dedicated teacher for long hours of handwriting practice. Unfortunately, this is not feasible in many cases. In this paper we introduce an automated tool for teaching Arabic handwriting using tablet PCs and on-line handwriting recognition techniques. This tool can simulate the tasks performed by a human handwriting teacher of detecting the segments of hypothesized writing errors and producing instructive real time feedback to help the student to improve his handwriting quality. The tool consists of two main components, the guided writing component and the free writing component. In the guided writing mode the student is required to write over transparent images for the training examples to limit his hand movements. After the student acquires the basic skills of handwriting he can practice the free writing ...

In this paper we introduce an effort to utilize articulation features for confidence scoring in a Computer Aided Pronunciation Learning (CAPL) system. An HMM model is trained to classify the user utterance to binary manner features. An articulation based confidence is estimated based on the matching degree between the classified manner features and the reference manner hypothesis. The proposed confidence was evaluated with a test data set of 1 hour that was labeled and segmented manually and achieved an average accuracy of 92.6% for matching with expert judgment. Also when integrated in the CAPL Hafss system the proposed articulation based confidence measure managed to reduce the FALSE rejections by 25% but with minor degradation on the errors detection rate.

The paper introduces the problems of detecting and correcting accent defects, and also summarizes... more The paper introduces the problems of detecting and correcting accent defects, and also summarizes typical Arabic speakers in English spoken language. Then, it introduces the essential probabilistic architecture that will be used to solve both accent defects and pronunciation problems.
Consequently, some of important kinds of variations in pronunciation that are important for speech recognition are carried out and presents accent defects describing such variations. Therefore, high quality speech algorithms need to know when to use particular pronunciation variants. Also, the paper focuses on the essential programming algorithm and various instantiations and also a probabilistic of artificial neural network, HMM, or weighted augmented transition network called weighted ATN.
The proposed method improves the accuracy of correct speaker. Using the SpeakCorrect, 100 hours from speakers phonetically prerecorded are used to create pronunciation training database. HMM and the weighted ATN models are trained using such prerecorded sets. Their speeches are very clear, acceptable as natural speeches. The proposed framework is optimized to suit embedded the phonetic pronounced database. This proposed frame work has been tested for Saudi and Egyptian accents.
This paper is a practical reference guide for teaching of English as a foreign language (Saudi and Egyptian accents). It is used to help learners to anticipate the characteristic difficulties of English who speak Arabic mother tongues, and how these difficulties overcome.
