To reduce household water consumption, households must encourage ecoconscious behavior and identify water use determinants such as contextual, behavioral, and socio-psychological factors. The purpose of the study was to determine how income, education, and family size, as well as behavioral and socio-psychological factors, affect household water consumption. 62.4% of our study sample consisted of mothers with a mean age of 30.6, a high school or college education, a family size between four and seven members, and one maid who moderated the family dynamic. 97% of mothers could recollect pertinent Hadith and Quran passages. As a mother's water costs rise, her self-control and conservation attitudes decrease, while her desire to educate others about water conservation rises. As part of their identity, 97% of mothers were able to recollect pertinent Hadith and Quran passages, mothers and had a hedonistic value of 43.8% for increased water consumption; 37.4% for washing fruits and vegetables, 17.9% for leaking faucets. The VBN model (Value Beliefs Norms) further described local socio-psychological and revealed that the only variable contributing to behavior is a desire to develop awareness. To boost parental water stewardship, which is less than 50%, it was suggested that water conservation programs should emphasize education and religion. They should also emphasize the socializing role of supporting mothers to promote family environmental activity and eliminate negative conservation beliefs.

Design and sample: A cross sectional sample of mothers that have preschool children. The sample size was 678 families with socioeconomic (crowding index) status brake down similar to the city of Jeddah. Data collection consisted of surveying mothers in their home about safety equipment usage and practices related to burns, falls, poisoning, electrocution, and street accidents. Statistical methods used included descriptive, chi-square between injury factors and reported accident, and regression to test the degree of contribution of the injury factors and demographic to perceived mortality risk. Results: factors exposing households to fire and burn safety practices were fire alarm at 15.7% followed by smoking in bed and matches within reach of children at 18.5% and 20.4% respectively. Factors exposing to falls were presence of unsafe steps at 28.8%, unsafe bathing area at 51.5%, and small rugs not fixed to the floor at 36.3%. Electrical plugs not safely covered were a common practice. Mothers also reported that they mostly adhered to street safety practices. The sampled mothers have also reported that 20.2% of them had experienced a child injury requiring a doctor or an emergency room attention. Conclusion: households with increased risk of accidents are structurally lacking fire alarms and furniture"s and fixtures increase tripping and slipping. Families with these risks of unintentional injuries can give extra attention to increase awareness. Parenting training could also emphasize appropriate levels of supervision and management of their home and young children. Schools should also develop child appropriate programs on burns, falls, drowning, and poisoning. ey wordsr safetye ,urnse fallse poisoningemothers practicese housholde parents ‫التربية‬ ‫كلية‬ ‫مجلة‬. ‫طنطا‬ ‫جامعة‬

Here, we show the receptor transporting protein (RTP) family members play a dual role in both normal OR trafficking and determining OR gene choice probabilities. Rtp1 and Rtp2 double knockout mice (RTP1,2DKO) show OR trafficking defects and decreased OSN activation. Surprisingly, we discovered a small subset of the ORs are expressed in larger numbers of OSNs despite the presence of fewer total OSNs in RTP1,2DKO. Unlike typical ORs, some overrepresented ORs show robust cell surface expression in heterologous cells without the co-expression of RTPs. We present a model in which developing OSNs exhibit unstable OR expression until they choose to express an OR that exits the ER or undergo cell death. Our study sheds light on the new link between OR protein trafficking and OR transcriptional regulation.

Futher, hepatitis C virus (HCV) is highly infectious and was reported to be present in saliva. In this study, blood samples for 446 adult patient attending King Abdulaziz University Dental clinics in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, were analyzed. For each patient, relevant dental and medical histories were obtained. Blood samples were tested for HIV antibodies, HCV antibodies, and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). The result showed that of the studied sample, 4.7% were HBsAg positive, 2% were HCV positive and none was HIV positive. The patient's birthplace, history of tooth extraction, HBV immunization, hospitalization, and blood transfusion were significantly associated with serostatus.

A total of 505 twelve- year old female children were examined in 8 schools which wee randomly selected from 79 preparatory public schools in Jeddah. Combining the Dental Health component and Aesthetic component the results indicated that 59.9% of children had “very little” orthodontic treatment need and 40.1% of children had “great to moderate need” for orthodontic treatment. The examiner’s aesthetic rating scored 74.8% of children in the most attractive end of the scale (1,2,3,4) while 94.3% of children scored themselves on this end of the scale. The most common deviant occlusal traits contribution to the Dental Health component were found to be: crowding followed by crossbite and increased overjet.
