| | ...for LJ icons. If anyone has any recommendations for sites or communities with nice icons, please let me know. I'm looking primarily for game-based icons of just various video and rpg games.Thanks in advance!Mood:cold cold So, after loosing all of my programs, I discover that many of them I either don't have the disc for, or the disc has gone missing... And Photoshop is one of them.Thus far, I've read about the GIMP, but I'm a bit reluctant to try it, seeing as every little thing is opened up into a new window... Umm, GAH?! I hate having tons of windows open at once, especially when I'm trying to work on an LJ icon or something. I fully intend on trying to get Photoshop 7+ back, but I don't know how long it may take. That's my biggest problem I've read that I don't like about it...Has anyone actually ever used GIMP? Maybe it was just something more advanced than what I intend on doing with it that the person was talking about. I'll primarily be doing icons (mostly LJ at that), so it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Unfortuantely, I can't seem to find a single screenshot or an example of the product of working with GIMP...Oh, good... And Darian's a bit under the weather today... Not enough to slow him down or anything, but enough that we might run out of diapers before Tuesday and end up having to break a $100 bill to buy diapers with... Gah.Anyway, if it will load, I found someone who uses GIMP exclusively for making LJ icons... It worries me that the images haven't loaded yet. Makes me wonder... And not want to use the program... Ah, okay. The girl just doesn't know how to make a quick loading website. Gotcha. Okay, now... Hers look rather nice, actually. Unfortunately, she doesn't have anything that Iwould actually use, but hell, they're nice to look at. Makes me wonder what I could do with it now... Must look for more users... Increasing pain in back, shoulders and neck from sitting in uncomfortable desk chair shoved in front of bedroom door.4. My husband is at work for the first part of the day, and errands must be ran today in order to take care of everything that must be done. I have a timeframe of one hour to do all that I can before Alex gets off work, then do the rest after I bring him home so he can stay with Darian. My mother is watching him for that one hour...Today is not going to be all that fun, unfortunately.
