Title: Dreams of the HeartAuthor: bouncyballparty Rating: M at one point, mostly PGGenre: Romance/DramaSummary: World and worlds away, he dreams. She answers. Characters: Sora, Aqua (minor: Sora, Kairi, Riku, Roxas, Ven, Terra)Pairings: Sora/AquaWARNINGS/SPOILERS: Spoilers for the ending of Birth By Sleep.Recommendation: Original concept. The entire thing is beautifully written, with great imagery and flow to boot The interaction between the characters is sweet and sad in the same token. I never knew I wanted this so bad until I read this fic. Damn. Consider this a new favorite pairing lol.( Sometimes when Sora sleeps, he drowns. ) Title: Best ImitationAuthor: moonsheen Rating: GGenre: Humor/DramaSummary: What is there to do after you've saved reality as you know it twice in a row? ...join a school play, obviously. Sora has an adventure of a different sort.Characters: Sora, Kairi, Riku, Roxas, NaminePairings: Sora/Kairi/RikuWARNINGS/SPOILERS: end of kh2 (vague)Recommendation: The humor is subtle at times, and snarky and hilarious in others. It starts out pretty humorous, and then delves into the connection between Roxas and Sora. Sweet, nostalgic... and every once in a while, an emotional punch to the GUT. ( “Oh man,” said Tidus, staring at the list. “I DON’T envy you.” )

[Current Mood** |gloomygloomy]Title:** Better Than WhysAuthor: Ginger NinjaRating: GGenre: AngstSummary: When your best friend turns to the darkness the whys seem endless...Characters: Sora, Donald, Goofy, RikuPairings: implied soraxkairiLength/Wordcount: 2,037Recommendation: I like this fic in particular because it warms the heart how the trio cheers each other up and brings up each others' spirits, especially after so many poignant sentences that really make the heart twist. It even leaves the reader with a small glow of hope. (Ironic how I was listening to The Walk by Imogen Heap at the time.)( That wasn’t supposed to have happened. )Title: But That Was In Another CountryAuthor: GuardianRating: PG 13Genre: Drama / Action/AdventureSummary: Sometimes the good guys don't win against unstoppable odds. Yuffie Kisaragi and the last stand: before Traverse Town, there was the Planet, and before Sora, there was AVALANCHE.Characters: FFVII main cast: Cloud, Tifa, Vincent, Cid, Barret, Marlene, and the TurksPairings: implied TifaxCloudxAerithLength/Wordcount: 43,674Recommendation: With an erratic train of thought that is so essentially Yuffie, the story sweeps you in right away. You're just rolling your eyes at Yuffie's silliness when suddenly you find yourself caught off guard. The transition between upbeat optimism and enjoyable sarcasm to subtle horror and fear is so well executed that you just can't turn away, even when you already know the ending to the story. Most stories where you discover the ending, you feel there's no point in reading it... but here, you feel the tug of heartstrings and in the end you read on anyway. Because in the back of your mind, a part of you wishes you could be there for the characters in their darkest times. ( Cloud was basically crazy, so when he first apparently started talking about killing the dark things I put it down to him being a little bit nutty and a little bit slutty and kind of made the cuckoo-cuckoo spinny motion around my ear. )

Title: Havana BananaAuthor: airelementRating: R (or PG-13 maybe)Genre: Romance, HumorSummary: Every force has its equal and opposite. Yuffie is a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, she sucks at playing cards.Pairings: YuffiexSoraLength/Wordcount: 517Recommendation: I love this fic because of the writing style. It's so unmistakably yuffie, and her voice is so strong in this fic that I can't help but hear her voice chattering away in the back of my mind as I read. The story is cute, clever and just a little bit daring. ( As strong and powerful and talented she is with a blade and even without, she is equally terrible at something else. )------Title: Here and Now Author: airelement Rating: G Genre: Romance Summary: Yuffie was a here and now person; she didn't care about the past or the future as long as the present was fun. It was a pity that Sora was the exact opposite. Characters: Yuffie, Sora, Aerith, Leon, Cid, MerlinPairings: YuffiexSora Length/Wordcount: 943 Recommendation: A very interesting insight into the psyche and relationships of the residents of traverse town/Hallow bastion through yuffie's eyes. Again, people are in character, and the author weaves a subtly sad story that lingers even after its finished. ( Yuffie Kisaragi had always been independent. )
