Community Programming
At Kehilat Hadar Shaare Zedek, we find joy in coming together as a community to learn, eat, and celebrate. Throughout the year, we hold community dinners, Lunch & Learns, and seudah shlishit (“third meal,” on Shabbat afternoon), sometimes in our building and sometimes in one of the nearby parks. We also provide regular opportunities for our community to learn from each other and from experts, whether on sacred texts or on subjects of local, national, and global import. One of our most noteworthy programming initiatives is our Scholar-in-Residence Shabbat program, which occurs biannually with senior faculty from the Hadar Institute.
Please visit our calendar for upcoming KHSZ community programs. All of our programming is fueled by volunteers. Learn more about how you can get involved.
In addition, Hadar Institute is our anchor tenant, offering regular classes on Jewish thought, law, and practice. Some of their programs are open to the public, and others are open through application to cohorts of Jewish leaders and educators coming from around the country and the world. KHSZ members can take advantage of discounts on Hadar Institute programming.
