Hey, guys! Remember me? I pop in here twice a year and every time, I mention I'll be around and then I only post about 3 or 4 times before I disappear again... remember?
Yeah. So sorry about that. School and work basically binds me so much that when I do have free time for myself, my muse has been completely zapped. This is me trying again. (And I will likely keep trying again every few months. :P)
SO! As an apology for disappearing and in the spirit of the holidays, I bring you a interest slash gift meme from me to you! Other icon-makers, you are more than welcome to make icons for your own enjoyment as well! I'll still be making icons for everyone. ;D

When this happened, I don't even know but that gives me the warm fuzzies inside. :D So as a treat for you all, I made up a 100-random-icon set.
So I haven't been on here for a while. In between then and now I've looked over some of my icons, and saw how, well, compressed photobucket turned them and that just annoyed me and made me lose motivation for any icon at all. >> But I started giving it a whirl again, and thought of changing the style from one-pixel border to... borderless!
You may have seen some of these before already from the other random base sets... worry not, for I am re-doing the random sets. In PNG format, even, so the pictures remain crisp and clear.
Let me know if you prefer borderless or one-pixel border. Well, let me know any sort of feedback on these! :D

I'm bursting with ideas when I really should be doing other things, but hey, that's the power that procrastination has over you!
So I'm trying to write down all the ideas and projects and to-dos just so I can get a feel of how much I want to do and when. Also, it's helpful that you know what's coming up as well. And finally, if you have better ideas for me to consider, I'd so appreciate some as well.
One of the ideas I've listed is "definitions". Usually I just pick any bunch of words that I like. But if there are specific ones you'd love to see, just comment and let me know! :D
So, uh.. remember the base meme from, oh, 2007? Well, someone finally got around to finishing that! And I know there's an interest meme that has yet to be completed too. That's next on my list. Slowly and surely, we're getting there.
Expect some other stuff soon as well, such as those challenge icons I promised a few days ago. And some Charmed icons to come too made especially for iepisode. Keep in mind, that it might be a little slow, because my summer classes have started (and learning Spanish 2 within a month is killer, I tell you.. I'm already confused over preterites).
For the meme, the total was about 180 bases on various topics. They were posted in the comments but I figured I should post one here so everyone has a chance at nabbing!

So I was considering a change on the community, mostly in layout and I decided to look for some and I saw several under the "Style Contest" theme that I really liked, particularly the one titled "magic paper", I believe?
Anyhow, it told me to upgrade to a Plus in order to use the theme, but uhh.. if that's the one that shows ads, I'm not a fan of that. So I'm wondering if any of you have a paid account, can you still use all the themes or is that a plus-account theme only? If I can get the layout with the paid account, that would be fine with me. :D
*edit* Also, in 6 days, KI will be 4 years old. :)
Hey, guys. No, I didn't forget the recent challenge I put up. I've just been hit with a lot of work recently. (Professors decide "hey, we were going too slow, now lets move way too fast" close to the end of the semester.) And I have finals coming up. They're in the works so don't think I've forgotten about you. :D
Anyone who hasn't commented to the post yet, can do so as I haven't closed it or anything. After the 22nd, my last final, I'll throw myself head-on into icon-making

Seeing as I'm trying to build up my iconing skills again, I decided I'm going to throw out an entry on ideas for icon challenges. No, this isn't like my other GIMME-YOUR-IDEAS post. This will be one in which I will making ten icons of certain challenges you comment with.
Now, considering I'm still in school, it's April and my finals have YET to arrive but they will, I won't be able to get to all of them at once, but I'll do my best.
Other designers, you're more than welcome to nab some and make them yourself!
As far as ideas go, since there's tons of people on this community, let's not go overboard with ideas otherwise, I'll be making icons for the next 10 years. ;D Two or three ideas per person sounds about good.
- General subjects like "books", "pink stuff", "candles" is nice.
- Abstract ideas like "proverbs", "favorite movies", "random stuff you keep around the house", "humor" is also very nice and would probably be a slightly bigger challenge than one above.
- Specifics like "rabbit eating carrots while standing on its hind legs" or anything else.. err, let's steer clear from that, kay?

Christmas banners! Made them a few weeks ago, I figure the best time to post them would be now!
You know what really sucks about having finals week end on the 23rd? The chance that you might have tests on that last day.
... I have two. :\
So I haven't really had the chance to make Christmas icons, but there's always the Christmas tag to help out in that department. Here's a huge set of about 700-something icons that I made last year for you all to enjoy. The cut is obviously fake.

I've started to make icons without borders, as you can see, just to see how much attention they get from people, compared to the one-pixel borders. I like them, though I've always been fond of borders. What do you all think?

Despite the fact that I've made Halloween bases in the past before, I decided to do another set. This time, I'm experimenting with borderless icons and trying to figure out if more people prefer it with or without a border.
