Helpful Facts Because of the on-going Baconalia, where one can get all sorts of extra-bacon-y meals or even a bacon ice cream sundae, I of course wanted to go to Denny's, and needed to find one nearby. So I did a Google search for Denny's in my current location; one popped up on Google Maps with the address, phone number, and the note "manager is a shit bag".

Good to know!

Just wanted to let those who might be interested know that ArkMOO has been moved to a new server and, as one side effect, you now have to use a different port to connect to it. The server should still be reachable at arkmoo.kontext-away.com but the port has changed to port 7766.

If you haven't ever been to ArkMOO and you want to check it out, or if you have but you don't remember how it works, the information at http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/gracexu/movements.html is accurate (except as noted above ArkMOO is now at arkmoo.kontext-away.com port 7766).

NASA Comedy Central If you caught the radio clip from the latest re-entry crew at NASA and heard the latest shuttle toilet hilarity, that was Dean's voice delivering the one liner.
In case you missed it, it went something like this:

The EECOM called with a couple of O2 messages saying that
they figured out that a valve in the WCS hadn't seated fully and that they
wanted the crew to toggle the switch on the WCS. Over the airwaves is heard
"Are you saying they need to jiggle the handle on the toilet" and
everyone was laughing in the control room.
(That was Dean delivering the line.)

CAPCOM worked on it for a while and called up "In regards to your Spec 66 O2 messages, we'd like you to toggle the switch on the WCS to see if we can get a minor leak to stop"
and then the crew came right back with what CAPCOM had worked so hard to
avoid saying.
That really broke things up.

Two missions ago one of the crew members said, while preparing for de-orbit burn,
" I ain't falling for no banana in the tail pipe trick".

GOOGLE GROUPS` So it seems Google Groups is not, yanno, propogating shit.

I am not discounting the fact I only imagined posting stuff to ARK (I do things like that for LJ all the time) but my alt.test post seemed to have not shown up.

Can people without Google Groups look in alt.test for my post from yesterday?

The whole situation is messing with my head. I wouldn't be surprised if Google had blacklisted threads started by its own members.
