Recently, the incredible publicity of smart grid has brought about a revolution in the way the power system’s operation and control functions are planned. However, attempts to interconnect power system grids have consistently resulted in failures, like cascaded failures, often leading to black-outs. Taking into account the real-time requirements to deal with power system diagnostic procedures, it is absolutely essential to have an effective and reliable monitoring of the entire system. In this paper, we have implemented the monitoring of Odisha power grid to fulfill the requirement of distinguished power system protection. Of late, the tremendous hype of smart grid has brought about revolution in the way the power system’s operation and control functions are planned. Unfortunately, attempts to interconnect power system grids have repeatedly led to failures, like cascaded failures, often resulting in black-outs. Considering the real-time requirement to deal with diagnostic procedures, it is more convenient and practicable to ascribe the cause of such failures to inherent topological characteristics of power systems. In this paper, we have thus analyzed the topological characteristics of the Odisha power system and presented the results. Keywords- Grid Computing, Power Grid, GridGain

In this paper, a PSO based evolutionary multilayer perceptron is proposed which is intended for classification task in data mining. The network is
trained by using the back propagation algorithm. An extensive experimental analysis has been performed by comparing the performance of the proposed method with MLP, GA-MLP. Comparison result shows that, PSO-MLP gives promising
results in majority of test case problems.

In this work, we survey the virtual sensor networks (VSNs) design architecture, principles, service provisioning, sensor cloud architecture, and various applications that are widely used in different areas of VSNs. We propose a new framework for VSNs that can support multiple services and can give a new direction to Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) community.

By taking this into consideration, we are trying to design a reliable system which continuously
supplies power to the grid station which can able to avoid the cascading failures, i.e., blackouts. In this article, we model the power grid as an undirected graph through which the different connectivity of power grid is represented as a measure

It is necessary to design one infrastructure which can communicate and control the different grid stations. Topological analysis provides the static properties of power grid, which does not meet the real-time requirement of power grid. It is focused on only physical significance of the power grid. By taking resistance as electrical parameters to generate, one weighted graph which provides the different parameters of power grid. This paper compares the topological and electrical characteristics

However, energy consumption is one of the important concerns in cloud environment as large amount of energy is wasted by the data centers, hosting cloud applications and the carbon dioxide gas is released into the atmosphere polluting the environment. So pollution needs to be reduced by lowering the energy usage. Therefore, we'd prefer to propose a green computing solution which is not only able to minimize makespan and operational costs however in addition to minimize the environmental pollution. In this paper, we tend to stipulate a framework that specifies energy minimization is a generalization of makespan minimized by using the Energy-Aware Task Scheduler using Genetic Algorithm. We tried to conduct a survey on different scheduling methods of energy minimization in cloud data centers and their limitations and at the end of this paper, we render a green optimized energy-aware task scheduling algorithm for Cloud data centers.

But, the main problem is the data collection from source nodes to the sink node in an energy efficient way and in data collection scenario it is also a challenging task to reduce inter-cluster communication cost which can balance the network traffic. To work with these challenges, in this work, we propose a source to sink node (S2S) communication algorithm where to reduce the communication overhead and to minimize the delay we used Cluster-Head(CH)-CH communication method where one CH forms coalition to another CH based on the distance of the sink node from each CH. The simulation results indicate the better performance of our approach as compared to the existing approaches and the results are validated through MATLAB.

It plays an important role to support a wide range of applications. In this work, we propose an architecture for data management in WSNs where in each cluster, sensor nodes transfer data to their cluster-head (CH) and among the CHs one CH is selected based on the highest energy label. The CH aggregates data and reduces the size of the data to be transmitted to the base station. We have also proposed an algorithm which determines how fast the data is transferred from the source node to the base station.

Now it has come to light and is in demand because of amelioration in technology. Many applications are submitted to the data centers, and services are given as pay-per-use basis. As there is an increase in the client demands, the workload is increased, and as there are limited resources, workload is moved to different data centers in order to handle the client demands on as-you-pay basis. Hence, scheduling the increasing demand of workload in the cloud environments is highly necessary. In this paper, we propose three different task-scheduling algorithms such as Minimum-Level Priority Queue (MLPQ), MIN-Median, Mean-MIN-MAX which aims to minimize the makespan with maximum utilization of cloud. The results of our proposed algorithms are also compared with some existing algorithms such as Cloud List Scheduling (CLS) and Minimum Completion Cloud (MCC) Scheduling.
