Jossverse slashy goodness
Welcome to Kinda Gay!
Formerly a home for femslash-only Jossverse fanworks, Kinda Gay is now opening its doors for all LGBT-themed works and discussions involving any of the characters from the Jossverse i.e. Joss created them. That includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible and Firefly/Serenity. Anything involving Jossverse LGBT themes is welcome: fiction, icons, drabbles, recs, essays, fiction challenges, etc. Crossovers with other fandoms are welcome, as long as one of the main characters is from the Jossverse.
Discussions are more than welcome. However, off-topic posts, flaming and trolls will not be permitted. After the first complaint or trollish behavior, you will get banned. Trust me on this one. If you want to post something relatively on-topic, such as a ficathon or a related community, go ahead. If you have a question about what is relevant, please ask a mod first. If you don't, we have the right to delete your post.
Feel free to post or link any fics here, but please use spellcheck. There is nothing more annoying than trying to read something with several spelling mistakes. Similarly, please have a beta read your fic before you post it, especially it is a long fic. Feel free to ask around the community for a beta.
Put all fics over 100 words and icon posts more with more than 3 icons under an lj-cut. If you don’t know how to do that, go here.
Please use a header. It helps if you give the reader an idea of what s/he can expect before opening the link. Here is an example:
Title: Prettiest Girl in All the ‘Verse
Rating: R
Pairing: Faith/Kaylee
Summary: Serenity picks up another passenger. Much flirting follows.
Length: 1200 words
A word about feedback. Everyone wants it. It makes the work and time of writing worth it. So, if you read something, give feedback. The more feedback you give, the more likely you are to receive some when you post.
A note about the "B" in LGBT: This is not a het community. Please make sure all fanworks centered around bisexual characters actually addresses _bi_sexuality in some way. Simply mentioning that one partner in a het pairing is "bi" does not make the fic LGBT-themed. On the other hand, a fic about a het couple where one partner is struggling with sexual identity and they explore this together with another partner/partners does qualify as LGBT-themed.
