We have a new Tremere in our midst. Alexis, please read through the most recent action. It would be great if you could join us in our battle as one of the Tremere that will help Everette to undo the magic that currently binds the Garou to their kindred masters.

Best to all and hope to get into the midst of battle soon,
Sasha

Sorry for the lull in the game as of late, all. For those who don't know, Ember was at a real-life conference with no net and Izaak has been stuck in finals for the last week or more. They've been working hard! Ember is back and has voted. Once Izaak has time to come up for air again and be at the table to vote, we will move forward.

Best to all,
Sasha

flash forward

About six months have passed and now we regroup. ...stupid real life, interfering with gaming...

As a note in way of commitment, I'm looking for a min. of one post per week in addition keeping up with commenting in actions and conversations with others at a reasonable pace. Hopefully, that's doable for all involved...

In the interest of getting on to fresh plot lines, I'm pushing us forward to the final battle of the whole issue with the Garou.

Summary of what has happened

Daemon brought the flesh to Janus and they determined the Sabbat marking to be magical in nature. A binding spell had been cast upon the symbol which had been branded into the flesh of the Garou. This likely caused their devotion to whomever was puppeting the werewolves into systematically wiping out the kindred of NYC.

Fatima and those on her team found that the Camarilla had yet to take action with NYC because they believed it a lost cause. They had intel about those behind our attackers (which Fatima's team was unable to clarify) and, based on this, had decided to direct their attention elsewhere.

Those who met at Paublo's with Sasha banded together and began sweeping the city, systematically tracking and hunting Garou. They found that most of the Garou eventually returned to a certain area which was later confirmed by Daemon to be near where he lost our former Prince, Guy de Vere.

Now, we are all meeting at the Chantry, with whatever armaments we deem necessary, to organize a method of attack. We still do not know who has orchestrated all of this, what their numbers are, or if our remaining kindred even stand a chance against whatever we are up against. All we know is that those we are going to attack are very powerful, possess strong magical abilities, and have an intense dislike for the kindred of our city. However, with our numbers waning and many of those (regardless of clan) on the verge of frenzy from relentless chaos and attacks, we have decided we must act now before we are lost.

Please go forth to the game board and comment on Janus' entry to get us started. To avoid confusion with timeline in this initial conversation to send us into battle, please try to keep everything in one comment strand after we've all arrived and sat down to discuss the battle plan. Multiple greeting strands and side conversations during the main convo are totally cool, but I'd like to keep our big discussion on one strand so that it's easier for all to follow.

Thanks for rejoining. It's gonna be a blast!

Spring of Knowledge

Posted by modular00 on 2008.01.25 at 09:37

Sorry about the extended absence, fellow licks. I could not have imagined the amount of work i was expected to do in that last month of fall semester, and once break began all routines were shed in order to facilitate sanity on my part and also to receive many guests.

However, all that is past now and i am ready to dedicate myself to this endeavor once again.

I will begin this process of rebuilding by filling in the gaps over the last posts where i failed to comment, and only after that will i attempt to dictate action. Here's to a dark and pleasant new year!

Solving the Malkavian Prophecy

I will be attempting to decipher the prophecy that Skiouros delivered during the meeting on Halloween using all resources available to me. I will also be contacting all of you (via cell phone text message or other means) to ask for some simple aid. Basically, Skiouros refers to the prophecy and things that happens in it a lot, so if you have interactions with him and he says something of importance; feel free to pass that info along. The more information I have the easier and sooner I will be able to figure out the Malkavian ramblings.

Also, anyone who wants to help can find me at either the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Guggenheim.

Just so's you all know, Janus has been very very busy with grad school in the past two weeks and will likely be back to full involvement after this weekend. I've been pretty swamped as well lately. As we may lose people around the holidays, I assume we may all be a bit spotty with the game through the end of December but hopefully we'll all pick up after that.

Peace,
Sasha

For Janus (question about locations)

This message is mostly for Janus.

You had mentioned in your Public Address that the Museum of Natural History was to be a safe haven, I am going to take it as you meaning the American Museum of Natural History that on the Island. Also you meantioned to me that you needed my help at the Met. The Met or Metropolitan Museum of Art is not the same place as American Museum of Natural History. Do you need my help at just the Met, or both Museums?

There are also two other very large and popular museums to keep in mind in NYC. There is the Museum of Modern Art and the much much larger Guhhenheim Museum. Both would also be great places with in the city as safe havens.

As for locations:

Metropolitan

- right on the border/slightly in Central park, could have wolves about if they like the heavily wooded park, especially at night, or the museum is a great safe place from said park (east side of park)

Guggenheim

- just down the street from the Met. See above, because it is pretty much in the same position.

Museum of Modern Art

- below central park by almost 10 blocks. A little distance from the woods be either be good or bad.

American Museum of Natural History

- on other side of central park (west) but by the 79th street cut across. Same sort of position as both Met and Guggenheim, just other side of park. Take you pick.

Fragments, like the broken shards of glass from a once whole mirror, abound in my mind. I seek both to give and to receive clarification, possibly mending these fragments into an intricate mosaic of madness, which I will then turn into some crazy outfit. Not being limited to a linear temporal existence like everyone else, Skiouros knows that, in the future, everyone will be wearing complicated outfits constructed out of abstract thoughts and past experiences; however, it's not nearly as exciting as spandex made from the tears of people displaced by rising sea levels caused by global warming. Anyway, enough incoherent rambling:

Fatima: It appears as though I have a meeting with you after your current meeting. Is this simply to attempt to decipher my temporal episode, or is there an additional intention of which I would be aware?

Sasha: As Callum arrived in New York for the purpose of more opportunities for werewolf hunting, I have recommended him as a useful member of your Garou Initiative party.

Callum: It seemed appropriate that you would be a member of the Garou Initiative, as your arrival was based on your desire to eliminate the Garou from the city. Should Sasha not want you on her team, or should you not want to participate in this fashion, feel free to accompany me. Two Malkavians is either a recipe for a severe migrane or a party in celebration of aluminum foil. Either way, I consider that a win for all!

Daemon: Our characters have never interacted, and I believe that should change. Would you be interested in some cryptic interaction in the near future?
