I claim that music has always been spatial ; in respect to the acoustic environment of its perfor... more I claim that music has always been spatial ; in respect to the acoustic environment of its performance, the type and location of sound sources within this space, and the "lived" bodily-spatial experience of the listeners and performers the osmotic process between the temporal aspect of the musical development and its physicality has always been continuous. I will briefly discuss these aspects of "music in space" in the first section of this introduction that will lead us to a new set of classifications of the process of having space as a structural tool for a proper architectural development.
