This paper aims to explore evasion practices used by Dato' Seri Najib Razak in an exclusive interview episode '101 East' broadcasted live by Al Jazeera Channel on 26 th October 2018. The data was collected from the online YouTube videos in which the participants in the 101 East were between the host interviewer, Mary Jolley, and the guest interviewee, Dato' Seri Najib Razak. Using conversation analysis approach, this study analyzed how the interviewee evaded from answering controversial questions in the interview. The findings suggest that language, gestures and movement were used by the interviewee as evasion strategies to avoid from answering questions and to terminate topics in the interview. The organization of gestures and movement used by the interviewee as evasion strategies in this study were forewarning, interruption, final thanks and body movement.

This paper explored interruption practices in a Malaysian television (TV) talk show called the DOPStv (Deen of Peace Studios), an Islamic lifestyle talk show. The data was collected from the online YouTube videos in which the series on ‘couple talk’ was selected as the TV talk show represented a multi-party interaction where more than two speakers were involved in the talk. Using the conversation analysis approach, this study analyzed how interruption was managed by the participants in the TV talk show. The findings suggested that the participants in the DOPStv talk show utilized the use of non-verbal cues as resources for cooperative interruption such as to provide assistance, agreement and clarification in a multi-party interaction.

This study examines the army recruits' satisfaction with Acute Care Hospital Foodservice Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (ACHFPSQ). This survey was part of the menu intervention study and implemented in three dining halls in the Army Basic Recruit Training Centre with involvement of fifty male army recruits. Customer satisfaction was assessed after six months of staying within the training centre. Main outcome measured were the scores of foodservice dimensions and overall satisfaction. Relationship between foodservice dimensions with overall satisfaction was assessed with Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Findings revealed that the army recruits rated the highest score for meal service quality (score 2.81) while the lowest score was for physical environment (score 2.58). Overall score of foodservice satisfaction was 2.48, indicated that the army recruits had poor satisfaction level of the catering. The regression analyses revealed that staff and service issues was the only significant predictor positively related to the army recruits' overall foodservice satisfaction. Further approach to improve the army recruits' satisfaction with the food and services are warranted.

The flutter characteristic is different for each type of aircraft depends on the wing geometry and its operational region of subsonic, transonic or supersonic. Prior to performing flight flutter test, extensive numerical simulations and Ground Vibration Test should be conducted where the structural finite element modes and the experimentation results should be matched otherwise the numerical simulation model could be rejected. In the present paper, the simulation of supersonic wing equipped with external loads of missiles on the wing had been analyzed at high supersonic region. The structural mode shapes at each generated frequency mode are also visually presented. The analysis is carried out using FEM software of MSC Nastran. The wing flutter with the external stores had been simulated at different altitudes. The result shows that the flutter velocity is sensitive to the flight altitude. For this reason, the flutter analysis is conducted also for a negative altitude. The negative altitude is obtained by considering the constant equivalent speed-Mach number rule at flutter speed boundary as a requirement in standard regulation of transport aircraft.

Findings of the study reveal positive cumulative average abnormal returns following bond issuance indicating that the market treat bond offers as favourable corporate news. The results confirm the signaling effect of bond issuance but further reveal that the effect is not affected by company characteristics.

The additive for electrolyte, KI3 gives effects on the rate of electron injection to the oxidized dye sensitizer. Of treated TiO2 with ultrasonic was reduced the particle size agglomeration from 0.37 μm down to 0.15 μm. This contributes to a better sponge like with high porosity in order to absorb more anchorage dye sensitizer. Treated U4 with addition of additive for electrolyte gives, Voc=0.74228 V, Isc=0.36 mA, FF=57.0124 gives 0.039% of efficiency.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are significant contributors to development and growth ... more Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are significant contributors to development and growth in an economy. Since SME failure is common, this study develops a failure prediction model for the small and medium-sized enterprises. By using 132 distressed and non-distressed SMEs in Malaysia during the period of 2000 through 2010 based on the logistic regression, the results for Model 1 illustrate that higher gearing and lower profitability are associated with a higher failure risk. In addition, the incorporation of the firm's age as an additional factor in Model 2 significantly improves the model's predictive accuracy. A high area under the receiver operating curve indicates that Model 2 is excellent in discriminating between the distressed and non-distressed SMEs. The Hanley and McNeil test statistic shows that both models could predict failure better than a random model. The overall prediction accuracy rate ranges from 50% to 83% and 75% to 89% for the respective Model 1 and 2 when applied to the 1-year, 2-year, 3-year and 4-year prior to distress holdout samples. Our result indicates that young SMEs rely heavily on debt and they are less efficient which led them into distressed situation. The model can detect failure as early as four years prior to the event. The developed model could be used as a refined tool to avoid possible adverse situations among the small medium-sized enterprises, creditors and investors. To the SMEs, the model could assist in early detection of distress situation; whereas to credit providers the predictors could be included in the score card for better credit decision making. Investors could potentially use the model to assess the financial well-being of companies to safeguard their interests.

UML models have been successfully used to support COSMIC-based functional size measurement (COSMIC FSM). In this paper, UML-based functional measurement through COSMIC function point is proposed to be used to estimate the mobile game application. The key idea is to use UML representations for capturing the information needed for the measurement and estimation. A case study, Angry Birds mobile game application is used to demonstrate how UMLs can actually improve the practice of COSMIC measurement by mapping the UML context with COSMIC FSM rules and measurement. The UML representations involve use case diagram, behavioral model elements, component diagram, object diagram and sequence diagrams to represent the basic functional requirements and workflow requirements. This paper shows the usage of UML representations with COSMIC function point is applicable to the case study in mobile game. It provides an option to the software developers to estimate the mobile game application size by using UML-based COSMIC FSM method. This paper contributes on building UML models according to the COSMIC measurement rules, which ease the measurement procedures.
