Miniaturization of antennas helps in civilian, military and satellite applications for present tr... more Miniaturization of antennas helps in civilian, military and satellite applications for present trends in many means such as their installation, mobility etc. Yagi-Uda antenna with reduced lengths has been proposed used for such applications. In this work investigation of Radiation Characteristics, Return loss, Directivity are simulated and practically examined. A five-element Yagi antenna fed with co-axial feed and made of aluminum is developed in this work. About 40% of size reduction is obtained by rearranging the directors and by decreasing the diameter of the elements.

As this is a wearable type it should have low weight, low profile and low cost. In this paper we have designed Microstrip rectangular patch antenna used for this application. Cotton Textiles with different dielectric values are used as substrates for this antenna. The antenna is fed with co-axial feed. Here we have examined the radiation characteristics, return loss and gain which are the critical parameters of wearable antenna for monitoring and diagnosing patient's condition. These are performed by using ANSOFT HFSS.

In this work we have designed a Edge Serrated Microstrip Patch antenna used for these applications has been modeled on FR4 substrate as a dielectric medium which has a relative permittivity value of 4.4. The proposed antenna was resonating at two different frequencies in L & S band Microwave frequency ranges. This antenna was fed with coaxial feeding and was designed in a software HFSS.
