Konshinkai: 懇親会 / こんしんかい - (noun) friendly get-together
what konshinkai is:
konshinkai is a community created for several purposes. the first of which- to bring together people that have a passion for japan. japanese music + musicians, language, customs + traditions, fashion, pop culture, anime, movies and shows... any and everything related to japan. our aim is to develop a close community of people united by (but not limited to) their love of japan.
what makes this community different...
is that it's not dedicated to one specific band or thing. you're free to discuss anything you like related to japan... and even more than that.
our goal is for this community to serve multiple purposes. we want it to be a place where people that love japan and japanese things can come to discuss many subjects. a new release by an artist, memories about a trip to japan, difficulty you have had related to your love of japan/japanese things, buying the new shoxx magazine- whatever. we hope for this to be an "add me" community, a sharing community, a community where you can write about how frustrating your japanese language class is. general topics are often not alowed in many communities but here it's not only ok... it's encouraged!
unlike the communities dedicated to a specific band or thing, we don't expect that people only post with "news". because of the kind of content we accept and hope to get, konshinkai is more of a place to just talk, have friendly debate, and make new friends. here you can get to know people more personally than in topic communities.
united by [but not limited to] our love of japan.
our community motto. while we have japan as our common interest, it's not the only focal point that can be discussed here. we welcome discussions on a variety of topics that aren't just about japan. is it ok for you to post about that trip you just took to chicago? absolutely!
