eowynjedi @ 12:52pm: Hiatus So, obviously this community has not garnered much interest, judging by the near-total lack of participation... I will own that much of this stems from this being the first time I've run an iconing community.

However, I still think there should be a KOTOR icontest somewhere on the internets, so I'm not going to delete the comm--I'm just going to close it down for a while while I figure out how to work things.

If any of you wants to help out in any way, please leave a comment to this post. See you in December, folks.

eowynjedi @ 3:19pm: Week 2: Reminder This to remind you that the deadline for this week's challenge is on Friday, August 10th. So far we have ONE icon. It's a good icon, but we need more. Remember that the winning icon becomes the community icon--don't you want to see your icon up there? Sure you do.

Please get your icons in as soon as possible!

eowynjedi @ 2:23pm: Week 2! Okay, well, regardless of how many people commented to that last post, we're going to try this again anyway.

This week, we have another "image" challenge, though with a bit more variety than the last one. The winning icon will also be the community icon.

You must use one or more images from this page. Additionally, the words "KOTOR Icontest" must appear readably, somewhere on the icon. (Okay, so she's a pretentious schutta--she's still fun to icon, though.)

Rules

# You must join the community in order to submit an icon.
# You may submit a maximum of three icons per week.
# Do not vote for yourself, and do not get your friends to vote for you.
# All icons must be new for the challenge, and cannot be crossposted to another challenge.
# Do not display submissions publicly until the voting is over.
# Icons must be in by midnight of Friday, August 10, relative to your time zone.

Submit icons on a comment to this post. Your submissions should look like this:

eowynjedi @ 6:22pm: So... Okay, well, participation in the first challenge wasn't great (four icons from two people), and it's been over a week since I've posted the entries, and... no votes. Not a one.

KOTOR is a brilliant game and it really could use a more active fandom. It's kind of disheartening, this.

So--if you plan on participating at KOTOR Icontest at all in the future, please leave a comment to this post so that I know if it's worth keeping this community up or not. And please, tell your KOTOR-loving, iconing friends about this place too.

eowynjedi @ 5:29pm: Week I: Voting Well, our first week's challenge is over, and we've got four lovely Atton icons. Thanks to everyone who participated, and hope to see more next week!

Normally it'd be vote for your three favorite icons, but since we only have four, just vote for your two favorite icons. Comments will be screened. Voting ends at midnight on Monday, relative to time zone.

The next challenge will be up tonight. Thanks again, all!

eowynjedi @ 11:45pm: Week I: Extension Since it doesn't look like we'll have enough icons by tomorrow night to hold voting, this week's challenge has been extended to midnight on Saturday, July 7th. So far we only have two icons, and I'd like to have at least five before setting up the voting. Remember that you can submit three icons per challenge, so by all means don't feel constrained!
