Nuclear technology is the most feasible alternative measure to solve the global warming problem as the clean energy which does not emit greenhouse gas and environmental pollution materials. It is used for various industry fields including hydrogen production, desalinization, mass production of radioisotopes for medical uses, development of food & fiber materials using radiation as well as power generation. Also, its scope of practical application is expanding sustainably as the important technology to improve the quality of people's lives. KAIF has executed many major businesses including nuclear manpower development, nuclear international cooperation, international seminar, publication of various materials, and public relations business to the nation along with a central roles for the nuclear industry so far since it was founded as the first non-profit organization in October 12, 1972. On November 13th, Korea Atomic Industrial Forum and Canadian Nuclear Association signed a renewed MOU in Toronto, Canada. Nearly 40 years have passed since our first historic MOU was signed back in 1986. Since then, both organizations have dedicated themselves to advancing the nuclear industry in our respective countries. Now, as the nuclear sector enters a new era of resurgence, our renewed collaboration marks a pivotal moment, promising to unlock new opportunities. Stay tuned for what’s to come. * We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our another valued partner, Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries for generously providing the time and venue for the MOU signing. We are confident that there will be ample opportunities for collaboration among CNA, OCNI, and KAIF in the near future. - Korea Atomic Industrial Forum님이 퍼감
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Canadian Nuclear Association and the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum today marks a significant milestone, building on the successful previous collaboration between the two organizations. This MOU reaffirms our shared commitment to enhancing cooperation and promoting innovation and safety in developing advanced nuclear energy technologies. At this event, the CNA was honoured to have the representatives from the Ontario government, the South Korean trade mission delegation, the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI), and Investissement Québec. Their support and participation are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to collaborating to accelerate the deployment of the next generation of nuclear energy in both countries. - Korea Atomic Industrial Forum successfully held the 2024 Nuclear CEO Autumn Forum from November 8 to 9, 2024, in Jeju, South Korea. This year’s forum was nearly double the size of last year’s, with the attendance of top executives from all major nuclear-related companies in Korea. We hope it provided a moment for industry leaders to pause, reflect, and gain inspiration for their future plans amidst the fast-paced developments of the nuclear industry. KAIF remains committed to steadfastly supporting the growth of the nuclear industry. We would like to once again express our sincere gratitude for the sponsorship from 한국수력원자력, Doosan Enerbility, KEPCO KPS, KEPCO E&C, @KEPCO NF, 포스코이앤씨 (POSCO E&C) ®, ANSCO, and Korasol.

On October 22, in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China, Korea Atomic Industrial Forum, China Nuclear Energy Association-CNEA, Japan Atomic Industrial Forum-JAIF, and Taiwan Nuclear Grade Industry Association-TNA co-hosted the 10th East Asia Nuclear Forum. The event was organized by CNEA and resumed as an in-person meeting for the first time in several years, making it especially meaningful. Over 100 nuclear experts from Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan attended, and thanks to CNEA’s excellent preparation, the forum proceeded smoothly and effectively. The Korean delegation included experts from organizations related to nuclear power plants and radioactive waste, such as 한국수력원자력, KEPCO Nuclear Fuel, KORAD (Korea Radioactive Waste Agency), IKSNF, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.,Ltd. and Nile Plant. It was a valuable opportunity to reaffirm that East Asia, home to one-quarter of the world’s nuclear power plants, plays a critical role in ensuring nuclear safety. -

On September 19-20, 2024, as one of representatives of Korea Atomic Industrial Forum, I had the distinct privilege of attending the Roamaps to New Nuclear 2024 Conference, organized by the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. The event, co-chaired by NEA Director General William D. Magwood, IV, and Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch, gathered government officials, industry leaders, and other various stakeholders from around the globe to engage in important discussions about the future of nuclear energy. I am deeply grateful to the NEA for the opportunity to participate in and listen to such insightful conversations. I was also pleased to take part in the Breakout Session, where we exchanged valuable perspectives and conducted in-depth discussions regarding the global industrial supply chain readiness. As we aim to triple nuclear power capacity by 2050, the role of a robust supply chain cannot be overstated. I look forward to continued collaboration with all relevant associations to achieve this shared objective. - Korea Atomic Industrial Forum님이 퍼감
