The application domain typically involves collaborative and competitative systems that try to survive and sustain some particular behavior as long as possible, using evolving structures and shared awareness. Examples of such systems include, but are not limited to, dependable infrastructures, networked enterprises, electronic health care, and network centric warfare. ------------------------------------------------------------ --- T H E M E ------------------------------------------------------------ The workshop emphasizes the interplay between methodological theory and practice of open computational systems as well as its impact on our ability to control and sustain the behavior of such systems. It is therefore important that we develop methodological instruments - frameworks, theories, models, platforms, and tools - that explicitly address system qualities such as control and sustainability of behavior. As such, these instruments should aim at support for both scientists and engineers in their everyday work with experiments and applications of open computational systems. ------------------------------------------------------------ --- T O P I C S ------------------------------------------------------------ The workshop intends to bring together researchers and practitioners in the theoretical and practical domain of open computational systems, in order to discuss current issues, approaches, applications, and trends. In particular, the workshop encourages contributions that address the following topics: [ theory ] - frameworks [ theory ] - theories [ theory ] - models [ practice ] - platforms [ practice ] - tools [ practice ] - systems [ qualities ] - control [ qualities ] - sustainability ------------------------------------------------------------ --- O R G A N I Z I N G C O M M I T T E E ------------------------------------------------------------ Martin Fredriksson (martin.fredriksson@bth.se) Blekinge institute of technology Sweden Rune Gustavsson (rune.gustavsson@bth.se) Blekinge institute of technology Sweden Alessandro Ricci (aricci@deis.unibo.it) Universit\ue0 di Bologna a Cesena Italy Andrea Omicini (aomicini@deis.unibo.it) Universit\ue0 di Bologna a Cesena Ital

We give a short state-of-the-art report on these issues and some pointers to the future.

Furthermore, the supporting information infrastructure and nonlinear dependencies will pose new dependability challenges to the systems involved. As a consequence, we have to decouple present day proprietary hierarchical SCADA systems into sets of services that allow for horizontal as well as vertical integration supporting operations and business models of future virtual utilities. The virtual utilities are integrating two critical infrastructures; power grids and cyber networks. To allow for this flexibility and assuring dependability we argue that the underlying infrastructures should be modelled as Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). We propose in this paper a methodology towards ensuring quality of service in virtual utilities based on microgrids.

A natural role of the PLC is to provide communication between smart equipment already connected to the power line and thus form a natural local communication network in 'Smart homes 'and 'Smart offices&actories: Another role is to provide means for smart monitoring and management of the electric grid itselJ: New PLC-based applications will be connected to the Internet to take advantage of all possibilities. The paper focuses on addressing security and integrity vulnerabilities offuture PLC applications. We introduce a B2B scenario on information trading and a process model supporting security as well as an information security-integrity framework addressing issues from the scenario.

The combined use of propaganda and cyber warfare supports military operations on the ground and is exemplified with the ongoing Russian hybrid warfare in Ukraine. New models and methods to develop future trustworthy critical infrastructures in our societies are presented. Some mitigation ideas to meet the challenges of future hybrid warfare are also discussed
