In Xanadu did Kublai Khan, a stately pleasure dome decree... (original) (raw)
Many thanks to everyone who came to KublaCon 2007!! Lots of people came to the convention, many of those people were lj-users and lj-friends of mine. Thanks to everyone who made the effort to make it, because you guys made the con a whole lot of fun for me.
Now the show's over. Everything has been packed up and either taken home or returned to the hotel. Now we get to start to think about what was good about KublaCon, and what we might do to make it better.
Please think about it, and lets talk about how we might embiggen the Kubla experience for everyone.
Thanks,
- caramida

Last year I offered free rides between Baycon and Fanime, and also did a round-trip for a member of Kublacon so she could get to an event at Baycon.
I'm continuing my experiment from last year, and officially including Kublacon. It's only 6 miles from Baycon this year. Last year I broke even on gas with tips I got, and I met a lot of cool people. This year I also have a nice bike rack, which could come in handy.
Let me know if you have any questions.

(an announcement from our fearless leader & executive producer)
Hi!
First let me say... this is not an April fools joke! Today really is the last day to submit your events to run at KublaCon for our fast approaching show!
If you haven't submitted events yet, or updated ones you've run in years past, please help make KublaCon 2007 the best ever by submitting your games here:
http://www.kublacon.info/kcsearch/kcindex.lasso?page=gmhome
After you've entered your game(s)... our coordinators will review them, check them against available slots, and within a week will confirm approved submissions.
Thanks all!
People often ask.. why is the deadline so early... for an event that's almost two months away? ( Read more...Collapse )

Hey folks!
In case you didn't already hear, I'm the new Beginner's Track Coordinator for KublaCon. I'm looking for GMs to run introductory games, teaching new gamers the basics. I am especially in need of people to teach/run HeroScape for the basic minis tutorial and Magic for collectible cards introduction.
We also still have openings for beginner's track GMs for roleplaying games or board games, please contact the coordinators for those departments, if you're interested. :)
Thanks and have a great day!
Kubla!

In case you don't already know, I'm pleased to announce that submissions are now open for events at Kublacon 2007. One GM already submitted a roleplaying game, and others are sure to come. Remember, GMs receive a much greater likelihood of getting into the timeslot they want if they submit their games sooner. The early bird gets the worm. We look forward to your participation in making 2007 the best year for KublaCon yet!
Any questions? Please comment below, or check out the KublaCon Forums.
