This is particularly true in the case of teaching pupils with special educational needs. The climate of education and learning and job satisfaction depend on teachers themselves. The purpose of this study was to verify the extent to which the type of educational institution (a mainstream or special school) moderates the correlation between teachers’ subjective evaluation of the organizational climate, their job satisfaction, and work-related emotions. The study involved 214 teachers representing all levels of school education in Poland, i.e., primary, middle, and high schools attended by pupils with special educational needs. Half of the teachers worked in mainstream schools and the other half—in special schools. The study used: The Organizational Climate Questionnaire by Litwin and Stringer; The Satisfaction with Job Scale; and The Work Affect Sc...

There is also a paucity of information about individual factors influencing the formation of their perceptions. This study sought to determine differences between chronically ill persons with and without jobs regarding their perceptions of the function of employment for the physical, mental and social dimensions of health, as well as how their occupational activity or inactivity moderates the associations between the perception of work as health beneficial or health adverse and selected individual characteristics, such as self-efficacy, acceptance of illness, actualisation of self, and psychosocial problems. The study involved 80 adults with chronic illnesses and was conducted using the following psychological tools: the WH Scale, the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale, the Acceptance of Ill...

Material and methods: 40 women treated with radiotherapy were tested. 30 of them were patients of the II Radiotherapy Ward of Centrum Onkologii Ziemi Lubelskiej [Lublin Province Oncology Centre], 10 women were in outpatient treatment. The patients filled in the post traumatic growth inventory (PTGI). Results: 40% of women showed low level of positive change due to the experienced trauma in form fighting cancer. Average level was of positive changes was shown in case of 35% of respondents and 25% have shown high levels of positive changes. In analysis of the fields of the posttraumatic growth we may say that most numerous changes occurred in larger valuing of life (M=3.38) and in relations with others (M=2.96). Changes of lesser intensity occurred in fields of: spiritual life (M=2.57) and changes of perception of oneself (M=2.03). Conclusions: Women treated for cancer experience pos...

The interaction of these two elements should contribute to the improvement of vocational competencies of people with disabilities[1]. Due to the fact that parents are considered as the second main contributors (just after teaching staff) of vocational training as well as life and vocational orientation of children and teenagers[2], the family environment can be treated as a significant part of the vocational rehabilitation of people with intellectual disability. Therefore, the aim of this study was to discover how parents of individuals with intellectual disability participate, if they do, in vocational training of their children. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted among parents of special vocational schools graduates using the survey ASZ-S-R by W. Otrębski and K. Mariańczyk. The results are based on the answers of 7...

The structure of these processes is not homogenous, which has implications for measurement methodology. The type of indicators of the course and development level of neurocognitive processes analyzed by a researcher entails the need to choose an appropriate measurement tool. The behavioral indicators (verbal and nonverbal behavior of the participants) are measured with the use of observation sheets. On the other hand, the neurophysiological indicators are measured with the use of high-technology equipment, such as: computed tomography (CT), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), or eye tracker. By systematizing the tools most often used by researchers to measure sensory integrat...
