ECET – The European Community for Energy Transition is a Vision for an Energy Union which represe... more ECET – The European Community for Energy Transition is a Vision for an Energy Union which represents an approach directed at transforming Europe into a community that overcomes national borders and deepens democracy. With this new approach to an integrated energy policy we propose the vision of a new community in addition to already existing EU structures. ECET doesn’t want to replace them but give space for new ideas. and possibilities especially on behalf of the belief in a “generalisation of interests” by finding “solutions without borders”.
ECET is the result of a participatory workshop at the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen (KWI). The policy paper has been mainly drafted by the doctoral students Maximilian Müngersdorff, Frederic Hanusch, Miriam Schaad, Sophia Schönborn, Edgar Voss, Marcel Siepmann and Lea Schmitt.
