Ethics are the principles of conduct or behavior that govern a given society. This means going be... more Ethics are the principles of conduct or behavior that govern a given society. This means going beyond what is legal and doing what is right, even when no one is watching. Unethical behavior are actions that do not conform to the acceptable standards of organizational operations, failing to do what is right in a situation. What is unethical may not always be illegal though at times it is both. There are many instances where employees may act within organization policies but their actions hurt the society within the work environment and are generally considered unethical. Due to the competitive nature of life, employees always fight with their competitors for positions, favors, bonuses and promotions as these all come with financial and non-financial benefits. These fights at times prompt unethical but legal actions among employees.
