Santa Monica Beach Wedding
Wedding/Reception Venue: The Santa Monica Beach Club
Carey and David are a really great fun loving couple. They seem like they’re always up to something exciting and when you’re around them you get really inspired to do and see interesting things. Just following them on Facebook is a treat, these people know the best restaurants and destinations in LA and they’re some of the most warm and inviting people you’ll meet. From the moment we met them we knew we’d be a great match.
You might remember their Venice engagement session a little while back- we got the personalized intro to the love of food trucks, and we’re better off for it. Many a time since have we gone down to Abbot Kinney Blvd and staked out the food truck lines at night!
Since Carey wrote out a pretty epic description of her wedding, I’m going to let her do the talking. :) Thanks for a wonderful day guys, shooting your wedding was a real treat for the both of us! -Ian and Tanya
A few words from Carey:
A few themes I wanted to have for my wedding, vintage but modern, elegant yet comfortable, and 100% about my husband and I. While difficult, melting those ideas together came out more successful than I ever could have thought. From the start, it was clear that we wanted to have our wedding in what we consider our “backyard” – it just so happens that living in Santa Monica, the backyard is the beach where we spend many days lounging at a private beach club…the same beach that I built sand castles at as a child, and I’m lucky enough to have my other half love it as much as I do….and we always feel so at home there. Luckily, that shone through the ceremony and reception as guests came up to us throughout the night and let us know that the wedding truly reflected us as a couple, a success in my book!
