increasing recognition. More and more questions are being studied
under the light of SI. It is being considered as important norm of
human resource. Most of the research for analysing SI is done in field of
business. Very less research has been done in the field of education
where lives of people get shaped. Teachers must have this holistic form
of intelligence in order to serve our students and bestow them with the
most profound gift, enabling them with the ability to create vision and
meaning in their lives. Future teachers must acknowledge, understand
and possess spiritual intelligence so that they can find a deep purpose. Hence the present research paper is
focused on testing the aptness of spiritual intelligence scale by Santosh
dhar and Upinder Dhar (2010) for assessing spiritual intelligence of
student-teachers.
Objectives

  1. To find applicability of Spiritual Intelligence Scale (SIS-DD) by
Santosh Dhar and Upinder Dhar in field of Education.
  2. To study inter-correlation between six dimensions of spiritual
    intelligence
  3. To examine correlation of each individual dimension of spiritual
    intelligence with total SQ.
From statistical analyses of data it is found that So we can conclude
that DI Benevolence is not significantly correlated with DIV
Compassion and DVI Optimism. DII Modesty is not significantly
correlated with DV Magnanimity and DVI Optimism. Also DIV
compassion is not significantly correlated with DVI Optimism. Again,
DVI optimism is not correlated with DV Magnanimity.Hence, it leaves
us to partially accept the null hypotheses that there will be no
significant correlation between dimensions of spiritual
intelligence.Correlation of DI Benevolence with D II Modesty, DIII
Conviction, DIV Compassion and DV Magnanimityis statistically
significant. Correlation of DII Modesty with DIII Convictionand DIV Compassion is extremely statistically significant; Correlation of DIII
Conviction with DIV Compassion, DV Magnanimity and DVI Optimism
is significant. Also, Correlation between DIV Compassion and DV
    Magnanimity is statistically significant.

On account of population explosion, knowledge explosion (science and technology) and material explosion man has started moving towards the wrong path by considering material comforts of the world as real happiness. At present political, economic, social and moral rights as well as values are downgrading and exploiting. In the course of development, we have to think of these problems and try to find out the solutions best suited to our needs. It is the Gandhian Value System which can be used to reinvent idealistic and humane values among school students, but first these values must be inculcated in the teachers who are teaching them. The basic idea behind the value based education is that the education should not only enable a learner to earn more and but also to build his character. Similarly, value based teacher education aims at inculcating values in teachers in addition to merely concentrating on teaching skills and subject matter. This research paper aims To assess the attained understanding of B.Ed. Students about Gandhian Thoughts and values by giving them intervention in form of participation in Gandhi Vichar Sanskar Pareeksha-2018 and also to analyze the influence of GSVP exam on moral values of participants of the exam.Statistical analyses revealed significant influence of intervention on morality scale of students

In general there is contradictory belief regarding this positive relationship between achievement and happiness. This fact is challenging. We may expect value-based living to make people free from material aspirations. Investigators study the relationship between achievement, Value-based living and happiness by using data from the Self-prepared Value Assessment Scale, End Term Examination Scores and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire by Dr. Steve Wright.

The simplest clue to this perception is that we have tendency to ask questions why and how at every conflicting situation. If we take these whys and how’s from superficial level to a higher (or deeper) level, the questions of why and how become bigger i.e. The ultimate questions of being, existence, transcendence, purpose, connection etc. There is tendency in many to reject spiritual nature of human. We can term them atheist w.r.t. God/religion. But on asking bigger questions of existence an atheist would give a nod to “energy” i.e. there is an energy which is holding up a\all the existence. This is religion or faith free terminology. But regardless of the terminology, at some point of our life we all have asked these questions of ultimate existence. We all come up with different explanations. 21st century researchers/authors take spirituality as independent of religion and ‘God’. There is a quantum of formal and informal research on the concept of spirituality from different perspectives, ranging from what it is, how much it is, how useful it is, to how to use it etc. but there is an inherent conflict in use of terminology. Some researchers and authors view spirituality as independent characteristic of human psyche whereas others relate it to cognitive structure of human brain. But the purpose of most of the research is for human well-being. Either it is experimental or descriptive, spirituality or spiritual intelligence has been correlated with human well-being variables: mental health, self-efficacy, work environment, achievement, etc. this paper is aim at differentiating surrogate terms spirituality, religion, and spiritual intelligence.

Since it is such a young concept which is still in its establishment and validation stage, its direct application into specific fields is much undeveloped. Even after many researches showing its significant correlation with achievement, success, well-being and other positive outcome of life there is minimal references to how spiritual intelligence might be applied in the field of Education. This paper discusses that teachers should engender this holistic form of intelligence in order to serve our students the most profound gift we can: enabling them with the ability to create vision and meaning in their lives.

As they are teachers to be, they have to fulfill his/her duties of a student and as well as of a teacher. Self-efficacy and optimism are central constructs in understanding student's motivation and life orientation. This paper finds emperical evidences to the theoreticaly percieved relation between self-efficcay and optimism. Statistical analyses revealed that there is positive correlation between self-efficacy and optimism. Regression analyses showed significant contribution of optimism in deciding one's self-efficacy. Hence, there should be more positive environment during B.Ed. course to enhance self-efficacy which is further a good contributor in determing achievemnt of students

The whole query of interest in this study is how the changes in the spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are associated to the academic achievement. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence is strong predictor of academic achievement rather than self-efficacy and spiritual intelligence.

The objective of present paper is to study Demographic profiles such as gender, prior teaching experience, marital status and educational qualification level of student teachers in context of their spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and self-efficacy. Results revealed that gender, prior teaching experience, marital status and education qualification does not influence spiritual intelligence, emotional intelligence and self-efficacy of B.Ed. student teachers. Teaching is one of the most substantial professions of the world. It is rightly said that teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions. Educational institutions are important as students follow careers and give meaning to their lives. As teachers play a special role in setting the standards and creating the conditions for children's school attainments, they are considered to be a key element towards student's academic success. it is quite evident from the pace of evolution greatly depends on quality of human resources, which consequently depends upon quality of teachers.
