[ mood \| jubilant ] I have successfully mixed the two loves of my life.. Larry the Lamb and Laibach. The result? Laibaaach!Sadly it's not available for download at present - but if anybody wants a copy, then let me know and I'll make you a cd. It's awesome!!

[ mood \| ecstatic ] LOOK WHAT SANTA (via chickenkiev) BROUGHT ME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!Yes indeedy! It's the original Larry The Lamb story "Tea for Two". Not only that, but seven other amazing tales from Toytown. I'm tickled pink! I've just finished reading the first one, and have already learned that ginger beer does not agree with lambs, nor does cucumber - and they aren't very good at climbing through windows. A thrilling read and no mistake. The only thing that concerns me is that Larry looks more like a pit bull than a lamb - but he's just as adorable in the stories, he even bleats 'plaintively'. LOOK WHAT SANTA (via

chickenkiev) BROUGHT ME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!Yes indeedy! It's the original Larry The Lamb story "Tea for Two". Not only that, but seven other amazing tales from Toytown. I'm tickled pink! As Phil and Jim pointed out last night, there are no ethnic minorities in Lary the Lamb, and only one woman with any sort of part. So its racist AND sexist. Thsi is what we're teaching our kids!!!

[ mood \| weird ] i havent made a proper post in this community yet. worry not!!! im just doing a little research first though. here are my preliminary thoughts...earnest the policeman is clearly gay. always asking larry to hold his "helmet" (larry even offers on one occasion) and plunging down holes to chase "fairies". i was also thinking about the old guy who's always saying "its a public scandal!!" he reminds me of my parents neighbour. grouchy old man who spends all his day watching out his front windows and complaining about kids waiting at the bus stop outside his house. and the inventor - he makes this big weird machine to kill beetles using honey when he could easily just take off a shoe or something and whack them. which came first, larry the lamb or gilligans island? im not sure. but im thinking of looking into every single character at some point and figuring out where they might have come from.even if its a complete waste of time then at least i still get to watch heaps of larry!!edit: i know that the inspiration for the grumpy old man probably didnt come from my folks neighbours but you know what i mean :p

groggy ] ..........i heard my mother go on about watching larry the lamb an awful lot when she was a child.........and telling me how it was before the time of noddy and such rubbish.........i wonder if this subsequently had any influence on my mother's preference for calling me 'pet lamb'.......and incidently....Matthew Barney's 'Cremaster 3' has veeeery cute lambs in it .......with big blue bows...........yu must see it.......particularly because the lambs are being held by Aimee Mullins........and the whole thing just MUST BE SEEN for it's bizarreness -ray! ^_^

Definitely German, and the definite "brains behind the operation." Think about it - without Dennis to manipulate him, Larry would be a sweet little lamb who never got into any trouble at all. Dennis is the corrupter who always gets Larry into trouble. This may perhaps have connotations with Satan as the ultimate corrupter. The German accent would subconsciously suggest that all Germans are an evil, corrupting influence and not to be trusted.2) All of Larry's adventures suggest that the police are the enemy. Larry and Dennis seem to go out of their way to make hoax call-outs to Ernest the police-man, try and make him look stupid and have even lowered themselves to blackmailing him, or at least, to threatening him with the possibility of having all of Toytown laughing at him and disrespecting him when he threatens to reveal what they have been up to as it will also make Ernest look incredibly stupid and bad at his job.3) Looking for Faeries in a mushroom field. Need I say any more on that one?Discuss

[ mood \| contemplative ] Seriously!!! I have just unearthed this interview with Sir Clive Sinclair. He is the creator of the ZX Spectrum - (best-selling British computer of all time), also the world's first pocket calculator, and pocket TV. He also invented the Sinclair C5, although that was a silly invention - so lets forget about that. Anyway - if you check the interview, he admits that he was inpsired to do all this by the inventor from Larry The Lamb.Nobody would have tuned into Larry The Lamb on the strength of the inventor alone ... he's a fascinating character - but not as accessable as Larry. So without Larry, the Inventor wouldn't have had mass exposure. And without the inventor, we wouldn't have had calculators and ZX Spectrums! We'd still be living in the stoneage!!! I too have been influenced by Larry the Lamb ... In time I'll do something that will make me famous - and I'll attribute my success to him. Just like Sir Clive Sinclair.
