Omar Baz Radwan | Lebanese American University (original) (raw)
I am an Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature affiliated with Dublin City University (SALIS) and the Lebanese American University (English Department), and most recently the Lebanese University, Beirut. My research background and areas of expertise include Imagology, postcolonial literature/s, American Studies, Minority Literature, and Anglophone Arabic World Literature.
My PhD thesis, completed in April 2016, focuses on contemporary Ethnic literary discourse (specifically contemporary post-9/11 Arab-American literature) from an Imagological slant. I am also interested in modern Arabic poetry as well as world literature (MA dissertation on the works of William Blake and Kahlil Gibran, 2009).
I am the author of two published poetry chapbooks, Amaranth (2007) and My Poetry Room (2011). I also have a background in pedagogy with an MA in Education (emphasis TESOL and LD) and 12+ years teaching experience in Higher Education.
