Name: Yes, I have one.
Age: I age quite nicely thank you.
How I heard about Ms. Benanti: I was intrigued by 'Tina' in 'Take the Lead' so I looked her up. It said she sang and I was dubious, but had to check it out. I was blown away. Been a fan ever since.
Anyway, since it's been a wildly long time since this place has been updated I thought I'd mention that Ms. Benanti is now doing a revival of the musical 'Gypsy' on Broadway with Patti LuPone and Boyd Gaines. (And getting brilliant reviews I might add.) She has won 'Best Featured Actress in a Muiscal' for her portrayal of 'Louise' in 'Gypsy' at both the Drama Desk Awards and the Outer Critics Circle. AND she's nominated for a Tony. And tonight at 6, she has an interview: http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=28366

Hi
Name: Reiny
Age: 20
How you heard about Laura: I commented on somone's icon, which was a picture of Laura, and she told me who she was.
By the way I think it is a shame that this community is sort of dead. It seems I can't find any communities about her that's alive.

If anybody has a myspace - I just got an email from one of the associate producers of East Broadway - an independant film that Laura is in - they are trying to get a release and part of their drive to obtain that is building a myspace fanbase.
If anybody HAS a myspace (I don't, unfortunately) - friend http://www.myspace.com/eastbroadway - and ask your friends to do so too. Because come ON, who DOESN'T want to see Laura whip out her british accent?

I don't know who made this, but good job for them! I almost cried when I saw this, I didn't think it was that serious.

I knew she was in this movie, but I didn't realize that she'd be in the trailer. It looks adorable! And her accent cracks me up. I hope it gets a release date soon!
She's in a white dress in case people have trouble picking her out, which honestly, I can't imagine anyone on here would, so never mind. *g*

Don't forget to buy Take the Lead.
I did not know Laura was in it. I saw it about five times at the movie theaters without realizing she was in it. No wonders I like it so much, hehe. Laura plays Tina, the owner of a dance studio. If you have not bought it yet, DO SO! Even if Laura wasn't in it, it would have still been good!
