Happy Halloween people! Thought I do something for this year. And it’s Orisa and Venture. Also, I think I’m getting the hang of drawing Orisa.

Here’s the story. Orisa likes going trick or treating around the neighborhood. She doesn’t eat candy because she’s an omnic, but she still likes the experience of it. But Efi doesn’t want Orisa to go trick or treating because Efi believes Orisa will scare the kids. So she leaves Orisa behind (yeah, I know, what a bitch.) Orisa is pretty upset about it and then, Venture passes by and notices Orisa feeling depressed (and I think having Venture’s sweater saying “This is my costume” would be funny since I imagine they are extremely lazy with dressing up) and thought giving a handful of candy would cheer Orisa up. Which is did, but it really helped when Venture asks her if she wants to go trick or treating with them. Which she happily accepts. And besides, Venture hates leaving a friend behind.

Context on their dynamic: I imagine that these 2 are BFFs and that sometimes, they will get into some chaotic shit together. And it’s either Venture’s coworkers, Efi or Orisa’s crush to help them get out of trouble. But despite all that, Venture made Orisa understand more about the history humans and omnics and made her appreciate more on the life she had and to not put unrealistic expectations onto herself despite what Efi tries to do.

I have this in the back of my head for a couple weeks and decided to finally do it. So here is Spectra Vondergeist for my Monster High reboot that is more for a PG audience. She was my 2nd favorite character in G1 but sadly didn’t get the doll cause I was more interested in Frankie at the time.

Anyway to her design. I was trying to make her theme something similar to the victorian era since one of the most common ghost is victorian ghost. I gave her a bun with curly bangs, a dress with long sleeves with cuffs, and I gave her white gloves with one of her main accessories is a hand fan. And her main skirt of the dress is dark violet. Since she is a ghost, she basically has immortality, invisibility, intangibility, flight, telekinesis, invulnerability

I imagine Spectra was born a ghost while her parents were originally human. She is really into fashion and is basically Frankie’s rival when it comes to fashion. She dreams of become the number one fashion stylist in the world, but that keeps getting in the way when Frankie came along. They first met during lunch break and she was basically a bitch to Frankie. But when Spectra found out that Frankie was originally a human, she was starting to get mixed signals from this and now starting to feel neutral towards Frankie, feeling sorry for Frankie from not remembering her past but still remembering as a human, but still considered Frankie as her rival and will win in a competition someday.

I’m thinking of doing Toralei next as the main bully and secondary antagonist and finally, the main antagonist herself. So, stay tune for that.

There are 2 types of autism…introvert and extrovert, grumpy and cheerful, being a bitch and not being a bitch, human and omnic. (Context: I headcanon Orisa as autistic)

If Symmetra was a bit nicer to the people around her, I think these 2 would be good friends.

P.S. first time drawing Orisa since 2018. I think a lot of progress has been made.

I hate to say this, but after finding out that the Mothra we all know and love was not really her at all in GXK, that was a big punch in the face to me. That last minute change they did during production from that scrapped titan, that left a lot more plot holes than ever. I tried to give the lore the benefit of the doubt, but this is the last straw for me. I am no longer a monsterverse fan…

I bought this visual novel called Serre (greenhouse in french) yesterday and it’s about a human woman (Arlette) and a alien girl (Oaxa) falling in love with each other. And not gonna lie, it’s a really cute game. I love the character designs, the artwork and the story just, AHHH IT’S SO ADORABLE!!! I just wish the story was a bit longer when it comes to learning more about the 2 main characters. But hey, whatever, I’m satisfied enough with the story.
I love the game so much that I did a quick cute fanart of the game and I think I nailed how I drew Oaxa.
