The Fabulous Lawrence House! (original) (raw)
What kind of floors do Lawrence's rooms have?
Also - is Lawrence where Sylvia Plath lived?
Thanks!

I'm part of lawrance house this year - I just moved in yesterday :) - I don't know if anyone is on this community yet this year but HEY
Hey all--I need to rent a fridge, and therefore I need to be able to tell the fridge people what room I'm in. And I can't remember the number.
I'm in the room that was Sirein's last year (I emailed her, but I figured I'd ask here in case she doesn't check her smith mail or is away for the summer), the one that's at the top of the back stairs. I think it's like, 406. I know it's directly above 305 (cos that's where I was last year) but I don't think the number is the same because the fourth floor is different.
Does anyone know the number? If not, I'll just contact housing, but it'd save me some trouble if someone here could help me out.

So, me and (afiresong) have heard that we're probably going to be living in Lawrence House next year as first years.
The Smith website doesn't really offer much information or pictures of it (except for the little illustrated one) so I was wondering what all of you could tell us about Lawrence? Are the rooms nice/big? Good house community? Does anyone have pictures?
Mucho thanks in advance!!!

Hello, all! This community is kind of dead. . . anyway, I wanted to see if there were any other classic rock fans out there who might be interested in seeing Festival Express with me on Wednesday night at the Academy of Music. It starts at 7, and admission is $7.
As you can see from the website, Festival Express is a documentary about this trip across Canada that a bunch of truly awesome rock stars took by train and performed and jammed and did cool things. Mostly, I'm in it for The Band. :D
I don't think I know any classic rock people--or if I do, I don't know who they are. But seeing movies by yourself isn't as much fun, and I wanted to at least give people the heads up about this event. Movie. Thingie.

Tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00 PM in the Tippy Room.
We'll be going over the basic house policy stuff, as well as filling out some fun forms (Whoo!). Let me know if you can't make it, or you have any questions. I'm in room 313, extension 7322.
See you all there :).

Tonight at 9:00, there will be a showing of Big Fish on Seeyle lawn...If you want to go with the group from the house, we're going to meet downstairs at around 8:30. Bring a blanket if you want something to sit on, and...enjoy!
:)
(PS: You should all go. I'm going. Yay for free movies!)

Since I now have access to the Super!Secret first year forum on Blackboard, I posted under the section for Lawrence. My post is, of course, sad and lonely...make sure to post there, and check back there, as we can hopefully get the whole house dialogue going. Let your roommates/fellow first years in Lawrence/your dog/etc. know that the board IS being used, and that I look like a dork if I'm the only one writing...
Okay. That is all. Thank you.
