Welcome to Twisted and Scarred ~ Leroux-Based Phantom Fanfiction Community!

This is a fanfiction community that is solely dedicated to the wonderful original novel, Phantom of the Opera, by the famous Gaston Leroux. We celebrate his brilliance, cherish his talent of writing, and his devotion towards uncovering the truth of the infamous Opera Ghost - and we marvel at his creation of Phantom of the Opera, and by retelling and remembering his tale of the "strange affair" through fanfiction.

Rules:

01. This is a Leroux-based fanfiction community. No other Phantom version (ALW, Susan Kay based, musical based) are allowed. This community is strictly Leroux.

**(However, you may post stories that have bits of other versions, as long as the MAIN focus is Leroux-based.)**

02. Bashing will not be tolerated. Anyone who is bashing - whether character-bashing, user/story flames/bashing, or any other sort - will be given a warning, and if the bashing persists, the user will be banned and will not be welcome back. So please respect the views and works of others and do not bash or flame.

03. All pairings EXCEPT slash are allowed.

04. All ratings are allowed. Though (if necessary) if your story contains content that is NC-17 or beyond, then please put a warning in the post.

05. When you post a story, please enter: the title, rating, summary, (the summary can be as long as you want; there are no limits) pairings, a brief disclaimer, (though the disclaimer is not required, it is encouraged) and any necessary warnings/author's notes (such as if there is extreme violence, and/or sexual situations).

06. No off-topic posts. We are here to have fun, to discuss fanfiction and post fanfiction - so please, no off-topic talk about the ALW movie, tour dates, etc.

07. All stories, any length, must be placed under an lj-cut.

Yep. A community dedicated to Leroux fanfics!

Cool! Are there gonna be fanfic challenges, too?
Once and while I will post a challenge, just for fun. There will be no deadlines.

Can I reccomend a fanfic?
Of course! Just make sure to enter the appropriate fanfic info (see #5 of the Rules above), and please be sure to include the author's name and give us the link to the story.

Can I promote/reccommend a community here?
No. This community is fanfiction-based only. There are plenty of other places on LJ to promote and/or reccommend communities.

So we can't post any Phantom fanfics that are based off other Phantom versions, like ALW or Kay?
Nope. This community is Leroux ONLY. If you do not follow this rule, then you will be given a warning, and if it persists, you may be banned. (Though there is an exception to this tricky rule - for more information, please read #1 of the Rules section above).

Can we chat about other Leroux fanfics? Or do we have to just post strictly fanfiction?
Yes, you may talk about different fanfics, author's works, and so on. However, if users abuse this privilege, (users start bashing other stories in certain discussions, flaming, etc) then it will be removed. You may also post questions about different fanfics, make comments, etc...as long as the MAIN topic is Leroux-based fanfiction. (For a general summary of this question-answer, please read #6 of the Rules section above).
