Synopsis
Sex with your best friend has never been this reproductive.
Jenn and Matt are best friends from college who are now in their thirties. Single by choice, Jenn spends her days teaching hot yoga and running errands for her boss. Matt suffers from comic-book writer's block and can't get over his ex-boyfriend. They decide to fulfill a promise to have a child together... the old fashioned way. Can they navigate the serious and unexpected snags they hit as they attempt to get their careers and dating lives back on track in preparation for parenthood?

Adam Driver is in it for maybe 3 minutes collectively and that’s the only reason I sat through it. Proof rotten tomatoes doesn’t know what the fuck they’re talking about bc it’s rated 90%? Was that all just for Adam Driver being hot? (He is definitely delicious and beefy in this, but again, for about 3 minutes)
I guess the turkey baster makes this an appropriate Thanksgiving Day watch

My favorite kind of bad movie.
Adam Driver complaining about One More Day, they give both main characters gay friends who are the most generic gay best friends you can find in a movie from this time. During the third act break up they play an emotional version of CRAZY IN LOVE.
And can't forget the quotes:
"I'm a guy I can put it in everything"
"I'm here, I'm bear. Get used to it. Woof, paw!"
"I'm actually getting tired of lesbians asking me to father their children, but the jeans are good!"

This movie is so fucking stupid I love it.
this was a film that i watched
Surprisingly good. So camp but so heartfelt. Cheap but nice. It was nice. So many cameos. Pleasant.
Almost watched this ages ago cause Adam Driver is in like two scenes and then finally watched it this month cause Anna Margret Hollyman is in like three 😔
It looks like it would be dumb and trashy but it’s pretty fun. I think a bunch of the side characters are more funny than our leads though, I really like Matt’s boyfriend and I felt like he added a lot to his limited screentime and I thought Louis, the Nev Schulman clone, was just a hilariously twisted scummy guy. Nothing it has to say is really that strong but I don’t know that I really needed it to have really meaningful statements about like children or parenting. In the end though I do like that they didn’t grandstand about their situation they just had a non traditional family structure and that was their life.
The vibe I get is that straight people don't like this movie 🥲

this had the energy of those gay porn movies with thinly veiled plots that would come on logo tv at 2am after the daria reruns. and honestly...masterpiece
terrible acting, but that made it so much funnier
while attempting to stream this movie illegally online, i stumbled on a similarly titled documentary about growing up to two gay parents that was really interesting until about half an hour in when i realized it wasn't the film i wanted
after tracking down the right link, i was surprised to find a delightfully clever, well made "alternative" rom-com that still hits all the beats you expect. the characters were sweet and engaging. i was laughing the whole way through.
it's so unusual to find a romantic comedy that isn't about heterosexual couples that isn't terrible. what a refreshing watch
