Synopsis
He Wants You Badly
Every Halloween, a small hamlet in the deep woods is visited by a fierce goblin, intent on capturing infants and brutally murdering anyone in its path.

a minha infância foi divida em brincadeiras e filmes de terror, era quase impossível não assistir um filme durante o domingo. Goblin foi um filme que fez parte desse momento, assim como inúmeros outros, inclusive se eu conhecesse o Letterboxd antes...a minha lista seria enorme.
Na minha memória esse filme era completamente assustador, com um bicho horroroso e completamente bem feito. Admito que não é tudo isso, na verdade está bem longe.
Tem cenas que na minha memória era impactante, como as mortes e o fim do Goblin. A cena que a Kate mata o Goblin, seria o que chamamos de final girl.
Gente, o filme tem uma história simples e sem muito desenvolvimento. Mas eu sou sincero a dizer que, gosto da ideia e se tivesse um remake, eu facilmente assistiria.
The cloaked goblin was actually pretty decent and kinda scary and got som nice kills, the naked goblin was badddddd.

Pretty cheap low budget flic about a halloween curse. Story and acting arr nothing special, but this one has some descent gore effects.I've seen worse tv horror films.
Child sacrifice centuries ago leads to a demon born of fire stalking a rural community every Halloween since. A family who've transplanted into the area with a toddler arrive just in time to experience the terror in present day.
Was it impossible to hire an effects house to make or repurpose a suit into a hairless werewolf? Instead a cheap digital creature in a cloak—"goblin" is a stretch—flies off with the kid and their only hope is a local with an old dagger. Yawn. Wound makeup is practical making for bleeding actors reacting to a stiff CG monster's claws. More farfetched is how a bonfire pit in an open field remained recognizable as a bonfire pit for nearly two hundred years. Watched via Lionsgate's DVD.
Due to its budget, the effects were HORRENDOUSLY TERRIBLE and the acting performances were HORRIBLE, however, it was a decent low budget slasher movie.
Some of the deaths were especially creative, and in addition to that the blood, brutality and gore levels were AMAZING considering the budget. I also liked the design of the Goblin, it was a different and successful design.
Must've been a pretty bad witch if the best curse she could come up with was a goblin that looks like it was rendered on a PS3
Possibly the least Halloween-y movie to be set on October 31. Boring is one of the biggest movie sins, and this one is going straight to hell.
I haven't watched a Syfy movie in a long time, and there's good reason. Bad acting, rough effects, a dumb story, and zero atmosphere. I can't think of one redeeming factor here.
The town is cursed, but it seems incredibly easy to not be affected by it. Got a baby? Go for an overnight trip on Halloween. Why wouldn't the locals warn people to stay away? And in a calm, normal way, not like those old lady twins at the store.

A made-for-the-Syfy channel horror movie about a town that is haunted by a child murdering Goblin every Halloween. It's bad, obviously. The Goblin looks unfinished and the movie generally looks extremely cheap. On the plus side, at least there's some gore, which I wasn't expecting from a TV movie. It could have been worse. Maybe not much worse, but still.
