Synopsis
A man, a woman, and somebody else's money.
Ruth Duffy is getting by on an assistant's salary at a pricey school for girls in Manhattan, managing to move beyond the trouble and loss of her teenage years. Jonny Collins is working local jobs near the Throgs Neck Bridge in the Bronx. When they cross paths after years apart, Jonny is as consumed with Ruth as he was in their high school days, and he infiltrates her life for love and profit.

It's baffling to me how such a wildly misogynistic, retrograde film that extensively uses stalking, predation, harassment, and emotional abuse as romantic plot devices was directed by a woman. Without a single hint of irony or nuance Cochran has us watch a monster of an ex-boyfriend essentially torture Ruth, constantly mocking her explicit rejections and jeapordizing her career, only to be fully embraced by her in the end because he still knows her fucking high school number or whatever.
i only watched this because finn is in it tbh

Despite the good cast the material was really subpar and disorganized. Too many disjointed plot lines and characters that felt like they had no rhyme or reason to the choices they made. Do not recommend

so boring but finn looked good as usual
enjoyed but I can’t tell if that’s because Finn wittrock looked so fit
